Hi! Previously a 1st grade teacher for 3 years, before that, a preschool teacher for 3 years and in infant care 2. My years experience as a teacher gave me the opportunity to run and operate my own learning pod (daycare) in my home for 3 years while I was living in Hawaii due to my husbandbeing in the Navy. Overall I've been working with children, infants to middle school for about 12 years now. I recently moved to Maryland, and though I won't be opening a pod while I'm here, I am looking forward to helping out where I can!

Before attending Bowie state, i worked as a before and after care provider in the Baltimore county public school system before my company shut down due to covid. I have my certification for CPR, First-Aid, Child care and i also taught STEM at my center. I was also a certified Lifeguard for the past two years. Now i currently work for the champions before and after care program as a teacher. I am available for the summer to help out with your little ones. I return to school August 26th.

We sing gospel songs and age appropriate songs together. I am not a huge fan of YouTube, but I love being more hands on “pencil to paper”. I create workbooks to cater to each child. I am prior Navy and have spent many hours babysitting or volunteering in nurseries, daycare, and individual homes. I have a bachelor's in social work and sociology. I am going to graduate school for child welfare in the fall 2025. I love kids and the challenges that come with them.
