Hi! Previously a 1st grade teacher for 3 years, before that, a preschool teacher for 3 years and in infant care 2. My years experience as a teacher gave me the opportunity to run and operate my own learning pod (daycare) in my home for 3 years while I was living in Hawaii due to my husbandbeing in the Navy. Overall I've been working with children, infants to middle school for about 12 years now. I recently moved to Maryland, and though I won't be opening a pod while I'm here, I am looking forward to helping out where I can!

My name is Jennifer Lee. I was born in Korea and came to PA when I was just 1 years old. I am the youngest of three girls and have always had a passion for kids, even when I was just a kid myself! I always longed to have a younger sibling and am now eagerly waiting to become an aunt! In the summer of 10th grade, I had the opportunity to go into childcare and was able to transfer to home school to continue being in childcare, and my passion for children has only ever grown! I have been a paid nanny and sitter for 8yrs working with children mainly 3 months to 5 years. I have fortunately had the opportunity to be apart of their lives and see them learn, grow, and develop into their own unique personalities. That is a genuine level of pure innocence, candidness, and joy that only children can bring and we don't always have the opportunity to witness or encounter that in the adult world!! I've always been a caretaker at heart, but working with children continues to humble and remind me to be grateful and to enjoy the simplicities in life because it really is all around us and it's our responsibility to keep our hearts open to be able to see it and share it. I believe in sharing kindness, being loving, genuine, caring, patient, and open with everyone as we all have differences and a subconscious thinking, and that is what makes us unique and similar. We all have past experiences that shape us into who we are and it is not our responsibility to judge them, but to just stay true to our morals and character and do what is best for ourselves. I understand that it's never easy to leave your children in someone else's care. I will work to keep communication open and be as transparent as possible. I have no concerns with inside surveillance, whether it is stated or unstated, as I understand the importance of having security and peace of mind when you're bringing someone new into your home and putting your children's well being into their hands. I do my best to follow all guidelines given for the type of childcare that is requested, no matter how specific or particular! The more information, the more I would be able to understand the dynamic and structure of the home. I just ask for some understanding in knowing that I may not be able to mirror and respond to situations in the exact way that the parent would as daily events can be situational, but everything I do will truly be with the children's well being (physically, mentally, and emotionally) as my top priority!

Having been a nanny and childcare provider for over 15 years I have cared for children of all ages from newborn to age 15. I have various experience with multiples and am ok around household pets. I believe in letting a child be a child and having fun within boundaries and structur. I have experience with adopted children, allergies as well as families who speak other languages and am able to quickly learn basic phrases for languages I may not understand.
