I am certified to teach children Newborn - K as well as CPR&First Aid certified. I’ve been babysitting for 20+ years and I truly miss the children & families. I used to nanny part-time until the family moved away and then I took a break from childcare . I’m open to cooking for children, taking them to&from activities, caring for them overnight (once we’re all comfortable) and walks outside/outdoor play, etc.- I’m flexible on activities you may select. I am currently an engineer for a major general contractor in Washington, DC. I graduated in 2014 from Lafayette College with a degree in engineering and architecture. I recently got married and am working hard to save some extra money to help pay for living expenses and student loans. In college I was involved with Pi Beta Phi Sorority whose philanthropy works directly with young children in teaching them to learn to read. I have also been babysitting for the past 11 years. Hello dear Parents: I am seeking late afternoons, weekends or as needed positions. For the last 7 years I have been caring little ones from infants to pre-kindergarteners and elementary kids. I also enjoyed thoroughly caring for little bundles of joy and working with first time parents. My last experiences are 15 weeks, 4, and 2 months old babies. My duties as a nanny are to feed (I can prepare food from scratch) their bottles of formula or breastmilk, change diapers, put them for naps, sleep training. I also play with the baby's toys to encourage them to grasp their toys and mentioning to them the colors, names, and sounds to promote cognitive development. I also put babies in tummy time so that their neck muscles get stronger day by day for later to roll over, sit up, and crawl. I have prepared healthy meals and I am very organized and like to be active with the kids. I also help them to get ready for bed and wait until parents arrive from work. I have ways loved being around kids, even from a young age . At every family function, everyone always knew if you wanted a break from your child I’ll happily take them for a little while. As for skills and training, I’ve acquired my CPR license in the 11th grade, along with my BLS card the following year. And I’ve also completed a 200 hour EMT course. And I currently volunteer as an EMT. I would love nothing more than to have fun with kids while helping them grow to be an amazing person.
