The last family that I nannied for I met in February 2017 before graduating with a bachelors degree in Spanish from Saint Michael's College. The mother and father had a 15 month old daughter and a son on the way. I began nannying for them full time (Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, sometimes weekends, sometimes traveling on vacations with them). When I began my journey to become a teacher and pursue a graduate degree at Merrimack College in 2019, they fully supported me. This family has become a 2nd family to me, and I to them. I love babysitting kids and pets because they're the best kind of company anyone can ask for. Kids are innocent, pure and can make you laugh with the things they do and the imagination they have. I currently work as a line Cook and a behavioral health professional. I work hard in the heat and stress of a kitchen while keeping a calm head. I also work with children and teenagers with neurodevelopmental disorders as a BHP, getting to know them and assisting them to achieve their life skills, and help manage behavior. I have many skills that I can bring to babysitting your kiddo! I like to get to learn about them first by observing or hearing about them from you parents or them, themselves! It gives me a chance to best understand how they tick, what they're limitations are and where I may notice some push back with chores, homework or such. I also can provide guidance to the older kids and teens with a path for independence, strong work ethic, cooking healthy foods and taking on leadership roles. And I know I didn't talk much about pets but I am very good with animals. I am stern but passionate about them. Big dogs do not scare me away so don't be afraid if you have a big dog!
