I am certified in CPR and first aid through red Cross. Along with babysitting children since I was about 15 years old (9 years) I have also worked several years in a daycare, worked as a nanny, and helped out in several different children's programs. Most of my babysitting jobs included doing a bedtime routine so I am used to reading bedtime stories, making sure the children get baths, and so on. I have also worked a couple jobs cooking and like to involve the children with making food as well. Working with children is what gives me the greatest joy. I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and getting to know their individual personalities. I love being someone they can feel comfortable and safe around, while also making sure they have fun and feel cared for. Some of my favorite parts of babysitting are playing games, doing activities together, helping with homework, and being part of their everyday routines. I’ve always loved being around kids, which is one of the reasons I plan to pursue a career in pediatric occupational therapy.
