Hello! I'm a sophomore at Colby College majoring in government and minoring in education. I have 5 years of experience including summer camps, after-school programs, and standard babysitting. I'm a skilled driver and don't mind running errands or doing light housework and cooking. I am comfortable with all ages, and I've worked the most with kids 4-12 years old. I am CPR certified and prioritize safety before all else. I'm also up for all sorts of play whether that be a game of kickball or tag, or more relaxed like a board game and coloring.

I'm the oldest of 3 siblings. I was a single parent with 2. I do face painting for children, taught art, and owned an art studio teaching paint events for adults and children. I became guardian to a nephew who had personality disorders. I love teaching kids to do art and to let kids be kids. We play board games, go for walks, play ball games, do art, watch movies, and help with homework. We are a Christian family of 3. Me my husband and 10 yr old daughter. We have 2 fur babies 1 is a male Shiba Inu who loves kids and a Highlander cat named River who is double paws who never scratches anyone or anything in our house who also loves kids. I can keep u updated thru out the day how your child is doing. I cook healthy food mostly. I know kids will cry and get upset but I'm very patient and can redirect with fun things to do. Very clean home right in town of Skowhegan with a fenced yard. Any questions feel free to reach out would love to meet u and your kids.

Hello Im Alonna! I’ve spent the past three years working in early childhood education, supporting the growth and development of children ages 2 to 5. I’ve grown my education with hands on experience and achieving many many certifications! My favorite part about working with young children is watching their imagination come to life. I love seeing how they can turn simple, everyday items like dirt, leaves, and twigs into creative games and stories. It reminds me how children find joy and value in even the smallest things, which makes each day in the classroom special.

Hi! I’m Gwyn, and I just recently relocated from Maine to Vermont. I am CPR certified! I am looking to get back into childcare. I have extensive experience working with children. I started at a daycare with ages 3 months to 4 years. I mostly worked in the preschool room where I ensured safety by supervising the kids, cleaned the space, and assisted with meal preparation. I also changed diapers and made sure the kids got their nap in during the specified time. I also worked at an after school program with ages preschool to 7th grade. This is where I was able to use my creativity to ensure a fun experience for the kids. I initiated a tie dye festival with t-shirts, and we had a mini duck scavenger hunt on the playground! We worked on lots of conflict resolution with peers. Some of my favorite memories there was the relationships I was able to build with the kids there, whether it was bonding on the swing sets, singing Taylor Swift, or making slime. Another place I have worked was the YMCA summer camp. I had a class of about 30 2nd graders. Part of the job was doing attendance regularly to ensure every child is accounted for. I created a way to incentivize good behavior and kindness towards peers by creating Lucky Duck. This is where if a child shows good or kind behavior, they were given a slip to write their name on, which would then be put into a jar. Every morning, I would pick a name out of the jar, and they would get a mini duck to keep, and get to be line leader, or carry the cooler (which they loved!) This was super helpful because we were able to incentivize being kind and respectful rather than punishing them when were not being kind or respectful. It also prevented conflicts about who was line leader or bring the cooler for us. Another part of the job was making sure we got the kids to the next activity on time. One of the activities was swim time, where we brought the kids down to the pool outside and they had the chance to swim for a couple of hours. I did so much more at these jobs, but these are just some of my favorites that I chose to highlight. I love childcare because I truly believe that the experiences you have as a child shape you into who you are as an adult, and I want to be that positive impact! Please feel free to reach out to me! I can’t wait to meet you and your kiddos!
