I'm an aunt to quite a lot of nieces and nephews from my nine siblings and six in-laws which inspired me to apply for child-care jobs. Your job description seems feasible and fair so I would like to apply to the availability. I'm a little conservative so would not be comfortable around drugs or alcohol, especially with children in the home; I do not take any regular/new vaccines due to personal religious beliefs (and preferences). CPR and First-Aid certification are December 2024 updated (good for two years) and a background check would not be a problem to acquire and pass if the position turns out; I have my own car and secondary reliable transportation as well. I am a certified special education teacher. I have my Bachelor's in Education from Wayne State University and my Masters in Special Education from Arkansas State University. I have experience in supervising children and keeping them safe, conflict resolution, conscious discipline techniques, and helping children to learn appropriate playground behavior. I was a lunch aide at an elementary school for 3 years, and then I switched to substitute teaching for all grade levels. I have experience with large and small groups of children in various settings and of varying ages. My mom was also a foster parent for many of my growing up years, so I would assist her in watching the kids for a few minutes or by feeding, changing, and taking care of babies. I love children with a passion, I am fun will let kids be kids, but I also use a gentle but firm guiding hand. I'm not strict, but I have expectations of behaviors. I prefer to get children outside to play, or to use toys when inclement weather is a problem. I do not believe in using tv as a babysitter and instead prefer music. I am CPR/First Aid certified, and have other medical training as part of a previous job.
