Hi! My name is Serena Solis and I am super excited to meet and love on and watch over your little ones. :) I am currently 26 and have been babysitting since I was 13. I am one of 10 kids (yes, you read that right) and I have been helping take care of my little siblings practically my entire life (including newborn twins at 14!) outside of my family I have been babysitting for my family’s friends since I was 13. Outside of babysitting I volunteer in my church’s Sunday School for 11 years (in the nursery and elementary school ages) and I have also been a camp counselor for preschoolers- middle schoolers for years. I love all things girly and fun like American Girl & Barbie and painting nails but I also have 6 brothers and am down to always be outside or playing Mario Kart. My babysitting approach usually depends on the parent’s schedules and what you are comfortable with! I am happy to abide by any rules or schedules you have for your kiddos. Hi all! My name is Maija and I am I 19 year old babysitter/nanny in Kalamazoo Michigan. I graduated in 2023 from Kalamazoo Central. In October 2023 I was a short term paraprofessional in an autism classroom with children ages 2.5-4.5. I have worked for various families with children ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years. I have experience with special needs as well, please read the section on special needs for more details. I love to do arts and crafts! I also try to incorporate learning into play as much as I can. I have experience with home education as I did online schooling for most of high school through KPS. Note: I currently am not licensed. I have had a permit for the last few years but haven't taken the road test. I am planning on taking it in the next few months. When babysitting close family, I do walk with the children to stores or take Uber/Metro to farther away destinations. I am willing on taking children on adventures with proper consent and paperwork from the parents. I am also red cross safe swim certified.
