Hello, my name is Clara and I have taken care of children for over 40 years now and love it. I am currently with a very loving family now. They are having their second child and the mom just told me she is quitting her job to stay home with the kids. They want to still keep me but, my hours will be cut. I have been with them 3 years in April and love the little girl like my granddaughter. I have worked in a daycare center where I took care of four infants at a time loved every minute of it. I fed them, read to them, sang to them, played with them, took them outside, and saw to whatever their needs were to be done. I worked with special needs children. I helped teach one sign language so he could speak to us. I worked for them for 3 years. I only left because they divorced and the mom could not afford to pay me anymore. I worked for another couple who had 4 kids 4 dogs plus I helped clean the house. I worked there for 41/2 years. I drove their kids all over for their extracurricular activities. They will give me a great review or reference, so will the people I am with currently. I enjoy taking the kids outside, to the parks, cooking with them, doing crafts with them, playing with them, and just plain having fun. Thank you for your time.

My name is Aislynn and I currently live in Kalamazoo, MI. I have an Associates Degree in Arts and Science from Montcalm Community College and I’m working to get my Bachelors in Early Education at Western Michigan University. Since I was little I always wanted to become a teacher. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful experience with one of my teachers and it made me realize that I want to give other children that same experience. I greatly enjoy working with younger kids and have quite a few years of experience. I work currently as a Lifeguard Lead and Recreation Employee at Sandy Pines Recreation Community. I am certified in lifeguarding and First Aid/CPR and used many of these skills while working. I also spent a lot of time working with children and helping set up and participate in many different activities for younger children. We do a lot of different crafts and games every day, always something new. We also have a daycare-like activity called kids club where we read stories, color pictures, play games, and do crafts together with kids from potty training to age 9 as well as pre-teen where we spend a lot of time outdoors playing different yard games. Another area this job required was working with food. I work in a concessions stand called Happy Shack where I make different meals and prep food for the day, occasionally leading and directing other employees and as a result of this I am well versed in food safety. I also have experience cleaning as I was a Residential/Commercial Cleaner and worked in an Assisted Living as a Housekeeper. Despite my work experience I was raised in a very chaotic home with four siblings and tons of pets. I love working with animals and have experience pet sitting as well.
