Hi! My name is Kate, and I am a 22-year-old recent MSU graduate. I have been babysitting/nannying for about 9 years now. I have extensive experience working with children from 4 months to 14 years. I consistently babysat for a family of 3 for about 4 years, and I enjoyed watching the kids grow up and being such an important part of their lives. I love working with children and helping them learn and grow. I am very creative, energetic, patient, and open-minded. I love fostering kids' creativity through imaginative play. Last summer I was selected for an internship with the Girl Scouts as their Environmental Education Coordinator. With this experience, I was able to foster a love of nature in kids and help them safely explore the outdoors! I also gained my Wilderness First Aid certification which includes CPR and First Aid training. Along with being extremely well-versed in child care, I am also comfortable with pets. I have grown up with both cats and dogs and worked at a dog training facility for a summer during high school. I also have my own transportation and am comfortable taking the kids to their activities or on fun outings. I cannot wait to get to know you and your family!

Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte! I’m new to the town and I’m working on getting my license in insurance. I have watched dozens of kids in the past and really enjoy watching them. It reminds me of when I was a kid and I have a lot of fun. I hope you’d consider me!

Kind and energetic sitter, looking for work in the East Lansing area. With over 7 years of experience as a sitter and camp counselor, I have cared for children ages 2-12 in both individual and group settings. I am CPR certified, food allergy aware, have a valid driver's license, and am available weekday evenings and weekends. In previous roles, I have prepared meals, assisted with schoolwork, and facilitated safe and efficient transitions, such as morning/nighttime routines and extracurricular pickup/dropoff. I find joy in an engaged approach: spending time outside, playing games, and finding activities to learn or be creative. I know that every child has their own unique set of needs and interests, and I approach each new opportunity with patience, curiosity, and an adaptive mindset. A little bit about me: I am currently working through my degree in Biosystems Engineering at MSU. In my spare time, I love running, drawing, cooking, and playing tennis.

Hi! I’m a caring, dependable sitter who genuinely enjoys working with children. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and am currently pursuing my Master of Athletic Training degree. I spent five years coaching gymnastics, working closely with children of all ages and helping create safe, structured, and fun environments where they can learn and grow. Through coaching, I developed strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to keep kids engaged while prioritizing their safety and well-being. I also hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and am trained to respond calmly and appropriately in emergencies. In addition to childcare, I’m happy to help with pets! I have one dog and two cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable around animals and can assist with pet care as needed. I’m reliable, attentive, and excited to support families by providing quality care they can trust.

Hello! My name is Tori, I am 22 years old and I have been babysitting since I was 13. I love kids, they are so much fun & I love getting to know them. My CPR certification is expired, but I am willing to get recertification if that is something you would like me to have. I am comfortable with school pickup/drop off. I can prepare meals for the kids and help with light housework. I am not a smoker and I do have my own transportation. I am looking for consistent hours and preferably 30-40 hrs a week. Looking forward to hearing from you! :)

I’ve had the joy of working with children ages 2 to 18, primarily as a behavior technician, supporting kids with a range of needs and personalities. I genuinely love working with kiddos and creating a safe, positive space where they can feel understood and cared for. I’m also happy to support families when they need a break or have last-minute plans — I know how important it is to have someone reliable and kind to step in when needed.

Greetings Parents and Guardians, First -- I'm old. I have kids of my own who are overseas with their mom now. So, I'm checking out this site as a way to be there for other kids while mine are away. On the downside, I may be a little out of touch with recent trends. On the upside, it is unlikely that I haven't dealt with any situation that could come up during a babysitting gig. (I mean, how many babysitters do you know that have removed both scorpions and cobras from their homes before breakfast?) I began babysitting when I was 10 until about my junior year of high school. (It was the 80's. Our parents told us it was OK to drink from the garden hose, too, so why not?) As a dad, I am familiar with the range of care needed for kids. Just as important, being a parent and a former teacher makes me constantly look for ways to teach my kids. Sometimes, the most important lessons are not part of a lesson plan. Beyond that, I have a long history in different types of care professions. I worked as a mental health worker for 10 years, where I did all types of care for our patients, While working as a mental health worker, I also was a Red Cross volunteer. Though I don't have current certifications, the basics of CPR & First Aid will be seared into my brain for the rest of my life. Oh, I also taught the babysitting class for the Red Cross. (It was always a fun class. The kids were all so excited and nervous to make sure that they learned how to be good babysitters.) I worked as a teacher overseas for 13 years, (which is why my girls are in Thailand now). In that time, I worked with kids ranging from preschoolers to university students. There were several times while teaching English to Vietnamese preschoolers that situations required me to deal with them like a dad instead of a teacher. (Situations like a child stumbling and getting hurt. Since I couldn't soothe the child in their mother tongue, I would let them sit on my knee and wrap an arm around them for comfort as I continued the lesson. Several of my Vietnamese coworkers were surprised until (through the preschool's translator) I explained that I was a dad, and sometimes kids don't need words, but just a little love. If you don't mind, I would ask that you please contact me first with a text message, as I still get a dozen or so scam calls a week. Also, I have quite the beard at the moment as I am looking into being a store Santa Claus this year. Thank You, Jeramee
