As the oldest sister of two young boys, I found myself being a mom, a friend, a teacher, and a counselor. Throughout the years of watching them grow, they have taught me so much about how to better communicate with kids, understanding their emotions/ how to work through them, creativity, and most importantly, patience. One of the biggest skills I have developed from my experience with kids is patience. I believe it is important to understand that this is their first time experiencing the world so it requires patience and understanding on our part for them to grow. I’m big on not only direct learning but also creative learning. I’ve worked with children in classroom settings in the past which has given me a good idea of learning strategies they respond to best. I’m also a certified RBT so I have experience working with children on the spectrum and it has taught me so much about how their mind works and what tools can be more beneficial for their growth. Finding new ways to make learning fun for kids is one of my favorite things because as a college student, I find myself needing a reminder that education can still be entertaining. To kids everything is so new and exciting and it’s a blast to be a part of that journey. My main goal is to be able to help children, especially young ones, to learn new and valuable skills that can later help them in life. From the basic things such as knocking homework out so you don’t worry about it later to, developing different ways to express themselves and building positive habits. I have experience with children as young as infants and I’ve worked in clinics and daycares to help increase my experience with younger children. I am comfortable changing diapers, feeding, and cleaning anything you need! Some things about me: * I speak french * Certified Registered Behavior Technician (Autistic Children) * I was a lifeguard for 2 1/2 years * I am CPR certified * I have done private swim lessons for kids 6+ * I cook and bake * Great at cleaning * Reliable * Good time management * Responsible

Hello! I am Abrielle Good (Abbey is a bit easier to remember) and I am a Wayne State University student. I have spent the last few years working in a restaurant, and I am eager to enter a different work environment. Prior to working as a hostess, I spent years babysitting for cousins, friends, and neighbors’ (6m-12y) children. I also worked as a dance teachers’ assistant, with children ages (5y-9y). My mother, a middle school teacher, gifted me her love of children and her organizational skills. I would love to help with cleaning, cooking, and any organization/errands your family may need help with. Education is very important to me, and I have no problem helping kids with any schoolwork or extra curriculars they may enjoy. I also love the outdoors, sports (dance and baseball are my fav but i’ll watch anything), and history (my major:)). I have classes mainly twice a week- but I can give you specifics (school is my only work conflict). I also feel it important to mention positive attitudes and mindsets are important to me, and I take a very gentle approach when helping kids. I genuinely love children, and though I have a while until I can start my own family, I would love to help yours!

Hello! My name is Victoria! I received my Masters in social work and specialized my degree in infant mental health. I am passionate about working with children and have a lot of experience caring for them! I especially appreciate working with infants and would love to assist in postpartum support/the transition of now having a tiny human to care for. I work with postpartum patients in my current role as an OBGYN Psychotherapist and am excited to pursue my postpartum doula certification. With that, gaining additional experience with postpartum support right now would be very beneficial! I am very outgoing, optimistic, hardworking and punctual. I am also very comfortable and confident in providing care to infants/supporting new or existing caregivers! I would love to talk further about your needs and see if we could potentially be a good fit.
