I have been babysitting since I was 15, I have a double associates in the arts and applied arts in child development. I've done it all from date nights to third shift care. Most recently have done a week worths at a time for working or going out on vacations and having to run the household and the children’s routines such, extra curricular’s, school. Traveling long distances are no problem for me as I'm always punctual and on time to wherever I'm going. I am kind and passionate about working with kiddos. I love being able to do the occasional tye dye, crafts and arts, bubbles, chalk, finding a pool and park to play and have picnics. When your children are in my care they are loved really truly loved, and are safe I wouldn’t take them anywhere without permission ahead of time to do any type of field trips.

Hi! My name is Chantal Gilbert, and I love kids!:-) I started babysitting when I was 11 years old, and am now 52 and have 5 children of my own.:-) My oldest is 32 and my youngest is 18. Two of my children are twins, who were born premature, so I have lots of experience with twins and preemies! I owned and operated a Licensed daycare in Gladwin Mi. for 7 years. We then moved back here to Kawkawlin, to be closer to family. I cared for children in my home for a while, then when we decided to build our own home, I went to work at Head Start in Bay City for a while, until my daughter was born. I then cared for some of my friends children, in their homes, along with my daughter, until our house was built. And then I started caring for children in my home. which is what I still do today.:-) We have a large yard to play in, set far back from the road, and many toys and activities, both outside and in.:-) We have chickens and a duck to watch. I have low rates. Only 5 dollars per hour for one child, and 2 dollars an hour for additional children. I love and care for all the children as my own. ❤️ I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I have completed a Safe to sleep class. I also have worked as a Nanny, and love it. I am called Miss C, by most of the children, so I advertise as Miss C's Nanny Service. I am currently seeking a Nanny position, in which I would be working less hours than I'm putting in now, but also would be making as much, or more income, than I am now. I would take care of the little ones all day, I would do breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner with them, I’d do bath times, put them down for naps as well as engage and play with them or go on walks or to the park. I would also occasionally do household chores for the kiddos if needed like laundry and cleaning bottles and picking up their toys. I have volunteered in elementary class rooms and would help the children learn. I have also worked with special needs kids who couldn’t communicate in any type of way or who had anger problems. I’m very good with kids and love taking care of them. SKILLS: CPR and BLS certified: I have taken a CPR course in 2022 at a community college near me, and we practiced on how to do it with adults and infants. I have taken a child care class in college as well. We learned the basics, such as what to do if the child is sick or got hurt from doing something. We learned how to care for them on a daily basis or if it was something more serious such as if they were choking. I have life guard training, so I am a very good swimmer and I would be able to save a child if they got themselves into a situation where that was needed. I am fully Covid vaccinated.
