Tiffany L., Child Care in Washington, MI 48094 with 18 years of paid experience

https://www.care.com/p/tiffanyl9848/cc Hello, I’m Tiffany! I have a sister who is 10 years younger than me and was my first experience taking care of a child. As I got older I began to take care of neighbor’s and friend’s children as a part time job after school. When I started working as a cashier at a local market I would interact with kids that came through my lane because I truly enjoyed it and loved to make them laugh or feel included and heard. I had a customer ask if I would be interested in a part time job taking care of their child and I enthusiastically jumped on the chance. That child is now an adult in college and I am still part of their family to this day. I also have a younger cousin I grew up around who is blind and on the severe end of the autistic spectrum. I am a new auntie and helped with the birth of my nephew who came a month early. The youngest child I was employed to take care of was a month old and I have taken care of children up to 14 years old. I love to do arts and crafts, anything outdoors, especially swimming, riding my bike and kayaking , checking out museums and other cultural events, reading, writing, listening to music, cooking and cleaning. I enjoy teaching children and have a lot of patience with them. I have been CPR certified in the past and am willing to update my certification. My husband and I have a 9 month old puppy currently which is a lot of work and seems harder than taking care of children! I have helped to facilitate potty training, sleep training, bottle and pacifier weaning. I have studied child psychology for some of my more difficult challenges with the kids I have taken care of and have taken a few college courses in early childhood development. I am a truly passionate care giver and after a long time in regular job settings I am determined to make this my full time career.
