Hello! My name is Maia and I am a 30-year-old stay-at-home mother to a beautiful one-year-old baby girl. Ever since I was a child, I knew that I was meant to be a mother. My experience with children starts at age 7 when my little sister was born. I took on the role of a second mother to her, tending to her needs by changing diapers, giving her baths, feeding her, and putting her to bed. All together I have 6 younger siblings. In addition to my familial experiences, I also have babysitting and daycare experience with infants, toddlers and school-age children. My intuitive, nurturing and empathetic nature have always been at the core of who I am, guiding my interactions with children. Furthermore, I am very attentive, patient and kind. I love finding educational, screen-free activities to do, along with getting some outside time when the weather permits it. I am comfortable doing any cleaning, cooking, helping with homework, house managing, etc. I am also comfortable around all pets and will help take care of them, as well. References are available! I am a recent college graduate currently in the process of applying for graduate schools to get a Masters in Special Education. I have been working with children for most of my life, as much of my family is involved in education in some capacity. I spend my summers working in a summer school program to help prepare 4-6 years olds for their upcoming year of kindergarten. During the school years since graduating in 2024 I have worked as a paraeducator in a middle school setting, and I currently work at an Elementary school in Waconia as an ESP with 3rd through 5th grade. I am not currently licensed in CPR or first aid, but I am willing to get those renewed if necessary. I would love to help out after school or on the occasional weekend. I am available to run errands, drop off and pick up from sports practices, or do anything that needed. I truly love working with children and I would love to help out in any way I can.
