I too care of my elderly parents with health issues for past 23 years. Duties included clean and car er of the home cook , laundry bath and dress , drive to dr.appointments , all of the shopping, cut grass , shuvle snow , activities , despence meds. Put to bed . I did volunteer work in the church. For 3 years I took care of children of all ages at church. Babies from 6 months to 1 year, and children from 2 to 10 years. With the babies, I helped take care of them by giving them bottles, changing their diapers and putting them to sleep. When they were awake, they played games to stimulate the baby's skills, such as painting, playing Legos or watching cartoons on TV. With the older children I did activities that also stimulate their development, such as drawing and painting, playful games, I gave them snacks and was always there to give them all the support they needed, and it was really cool, because at the same time I taught them, I also learned from them. to be patient and empathetic and to understand their needs.
