Hi Parents! My name is Katie, At the end of June I had to say goodbye to the most wonderful family, and precious little boy, as he enrolled in pre-school full time. Therefore, after three years I am back on the market. At this exact moment I am more interested in short term opportunites, and babysitting, but that could very well change in the next few weeks. My previous exprerience includes four different families. In 2008 I was a temporary nanny/ regular babysitter for a high energy family in Columbia, MO before they moved back to Virginia. At the same time I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family with two little girls. Over the 14 months I worked at their home, I had the enormous pleasure of watching these beautiful ladies grow and learn so much, but I had to make the painful decision to leave for St. Louis to pursue my acting career. While I was far too busy working to get any acting done over the course of our year in St. Louis, I enjoyed my time in the city. But a change of job for my boyfriend, and my bosses' move to Minnesota called us back to Columbia in 2010. For the past three years I have worked here in town with a great family and had the pleasure of working with their "baby" boy, and have helped him grow from a tiny two month old to a precocious, chatty, and energetic three year old. My background starts in Cabot, AR where I was raised and worked as a babysitter and church nursery worker in High School. Upon graduation, I enrolled at Stephens College, in Columbia, MO, graduating with a BFA in Theatre Arts-- in just three years and two summers! While in the theatre program timeliness, organization, and dependability were strongly emphasized, and since graduation I feel like I've taken a lot of that with me. As for personal intrest: I am an energetic, outgoing, and caring individual. I love kids and hope to have my own one day! I don't smoke, love cats and dogs, and have a flexible schedule. My child care philosophy is a heathy mix of traditonal and new age ideology. I believe time outs are a genereally appropriate form of dicipline, but find I rarely need them. I am very good at sensing the warning signs of tantrums and tend to defuse the situation before it gets to that point. But I also believe that children need consistant structure and love from their adults not simply another playmate that they can boss around. I have worked closely with children agedall the way from 2 months to 6 years, and have potty trained 3 kids now (2 girls and a boy)! If given the opportunity, I know I can make this the very best experience for you possible, because I am confident in myself, and in my child-caring skills and know that once you have met me, you will be too! I like to think of myself more as a third parent than as any employee, because I feel the stronger the bond is between parent and gaurdian the better the children's care will be. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your children, to see if a future could be created together!

Hello! My name is Leela Ravipudi and I am a 20 year old college student with over six years of childcare experience. I started babysitting when I was 14 and I have always had a natural connection with kids. I love working with children of all ages and helping them learn, grow, and express themselves. I enjoy keeping kids creative and engaged. I love doing arts and crafts, encouraging imagination, and helping children explore their interests. I also like taking kids outside to play, walk, or spend time in nature where they can use their imagination freely. I understand that parents work hard and it is important to come home to a comfortable and clean house. I always make sure to tidy up before parents return. I wash the dishes, clean up after cooking, and make sure the space looks nice. I am a very good cook and I enjoy preparing meals and snacks that kids love. I also try to limit screen time and fill the day with fun and meaningful activities. A little more about me. I will be attending Metropolitan Community College in January where I am pursuing a degree in Environmental Science. Outside of school and childcare I love staying active. I enjoy backpacking, hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. I often go on road trips and back country adventures and I love bringing that sense of curiosity and energy into the way I work with kids. I am reliable, patient, creative, and passionate about providing a safe, fun, and positive environment for children. I would love the opportunity to support your family.

I am a dependable, friendly, and compassionate babysitter. I am currently a student at Mizzou studying Early Childhood Education. This past year I took a gap year and had the opportunity to work as a full time teacher at WUFLC where I learned so much about the care of children of all ages. I am currently looking for occasional babysitting or a part-time nanny position if it works with my class schedule. I have been working with children since I was 16 years old, babysitting family and family friends' children as well. I have experience with food allergies and the use of an Avi-Q as well as an Epi-pen. I love creating different activities. I love getting the chance to take kids out on adventures to explore their environment through nature along with engaging in arts and crafts to spark our imaginations.
