I love building a big sister type of relationship with kids. (I.E Someone they can come to for hard conversations or advice, or even just to make them laugh.) I find kids hilarious, and feel like in the past I've learned from them just as much as they learned from me. When I worked my first all day summer camp, it was a lot, but I grew so much from it and walked away with a bunch of meaningful memories I won't forget. I then moved in to after school care, which I loved, because it was what those kids looked forward to everyday, and I had a lot of fun providing all these different games and activities to do. (I am also RedCross CPR certified and First Aid certified due to my previous lifeguarding job this past summer).

Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy working with children and being someone they can feel comfortable and safe around. I love getting to know their personalities, keeping them entertained, and helping make their day a little easier for both them and their parents. I also enjoy creating fun activities, playing games, and being involved in their routines while making sure they feel cared for and supported. What experience do you have? I have experience working with children in both childcare and behavioral settings. I worked at a child development center where I cared for children, helped with daily routines, supervised activities, and created a safe and positive environment. I also have experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, where I worked one-on-one with children and gained experience with communication, behavior support, patience, and individualized care.
