Hello! I have worked with kids for majority of my life and I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be a teacher. I am currently in my second year of college studying Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I started babysitting at a young age. I have a 13 year old brother and a 11 year old cousin who I have babysat throughout my life. I started working as a coach for a developmental skills program with ages 18 months - 6 years old. I continued working at a summer camp for 4 years as a camp counselor with ages 5 years old - 13 years old. I have had multiple babysitting opportunities with family friends, neighbors, etc. I also had a part time nannying position this past summer with 2 kids, a 2 year old boy and a 4 year old girl. I’m 22 years old and in December I will have two Bachelor science degrees in Criminology/Criminal Justice and Crime Scene Investigation. I went to Nursing school for a year but decided to take a break partly for my mental health and also because of COVID. My whole life I have loved children and grew up babysitting my 6 cousins lots of times as well as my own special needs brother. My cousins were aged 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 6 months when I first began in high school. The oldest child is special needs and needs extra care such as tube feeding. I also grew up with a special needs older brother who could not talk or walk. I would always play with him/entertain him, help clean and change his diaper, and help feed him. I always put others first in my care and care about their comfort and feelings. He passed away unfortunately, but he had such an impact on me and my heart. I couldn't imagine having any other job than working with kids. I also am somewhat of a “magnet” for children.
