Hello, my name is Akeema, I’ve been working with kids since I was 14 years old. I’m 20 now and I’m going to college to get my child care development certificate. I chose to look after kids cause i know how busy life can be and sometimes you just need somebody that’ll care for your child like you do and I also love what I do with a passion I treated each and every child like there are my own.

I am a sophomore at UNCW planning to study nursing, and I genuinely love working with children. I’ve worked at Crusader Youth Camp for over five years and currently work in after-school care, giving me experience with children of different ages and personalities. I am CPR certified and have two years of lifeguard experience, which has helped me develop strong safety awareness and supervision skills. Additionally, I have provided childcare for multiple families, and through those experiences I have discovered that this type of work is what I enjoy most. I love being able to have a positive impact on the growth and early childhood development of children, and I can’t wait to have a family of my own when I’m older.
