Hello, my name is Lucy! I am an energetic and responsible sitter who absolutely enjoys making an impact on children's lives. I have a Neuroscience degree and I’m gearing up for grad school. I am currently babysitting and nannying on the side for extra money. I enjoy caretaking for children of all ages and love getting to see their brains and personalities grow. Being a babysitter also helps me interact with kids and parents alike and I get to observe development and contribute in their growth. This literally lets me have a front seat ticket to observe cognitive development which is something I am passionate about in my field! I am also a six year Navy veteran who understands the dynamic of high pace schedules, and the need for flexible dates. I have cared for children of all ages from month old infants to teenagers. I also have no problems with taking care and working around animals if needed. (I grew up on a farm!) My passion resides in helping others and connecting with the community. I am currently BSL/CPR qualified and have experience in Basic Life Support for infants and adults alike. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

We hired Lucy to help us out during the pandemic as our daycare plans fell through and both my husband and I were working from home. From the minute she walked through our door, she hit the door running and got along with my 5 month old son amazingly well from the get go. She helped us to guide him with physical development (making sure he's doing things evenly on both sides, not W-sitting, working on crawling and walking when the time came, etc), cognitive development (working on talking, words and associations with things) and even helped us to start doing Elimination Communication successfully! She is energetic, adaptable, flexible, willing to try new things and work with a parents needs and desires. She is able to bring her knowledge from her degree over to help track his development and progress. She also is just one of the sweetest people I know. She immediately became a part of our family and fit right in. We only stopped having her come over because Avery's daycare opened back up and we wanted to transition him for socialization. We all miss seeing her every day!

Kelsey sat for us while we were in town for a wedding. She watched my son and his two cousins, so a variety of ages (3, 7 and 10). She had them for about 8 hours, and the kids all had a wonderful time. She has swimming teaching/supervision experience, and was willing to get in the hotel pool with the kids, which was important to us, since our son can't swim alone yet. There's not a lot to do in a hotel room, and three boys can get stir crazy quick! But she was able to keep them engaged and entertained the whole time. Our son has almost never been left with someone he doesn't know, so we were a little nervous about how he would do. We didn't have to worry--he had a great time, and seemed to really like her (he was talking a lot about her and all the things they did the next day!). Kelsey sent us text messages and pictures throughout the evening so we knew everything was going well. It was very reassuring to know he was enjoying himself; it allowed us to have a wonderful time with friends and family without worrying at all.

Cloe is amazing and we felt very comfortable leaving our kids in her care! She was quick to respond, even doing an initial zoom to meet her. We were a bit nervous locating a sitter when in visiting a new town, but she was professional, caring, and made us feel at ease. Cloe has a gift being with kids. Works well with an agenda/outline of activities, and is receptive with feedback. The kids enjoyed her company and thoughtfulness - we will definitely reach out to her again when visiting the area!!

As a babysitter, I have found immense joy and fulfillment in taking care of children. From playing games to reading stories, every moment spent with them is a learning experience for both the child and me. The innocence and curiosity of children never cease to amaze me, and it is truly heartwarming to see them grow and develop under my guidance. Being a babysitter also allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of families. By providing parents with reliable childcare services, I am able to alleviate their stress and allow them to focus on other important aspects of their lives. Additionally, building strong relationships with families has allowed me to become part of their support system. Being a babysitter has taught me valuable life skills such as responsibility, patience, and communication. These skills have not only helped me in my personal life but also in my professional career. Being a babysitter brings me immense joy and satisfaction. It is an honor to be entrusted with the care of children and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

Hello, I am the mother of 4 girls (ages 15, 22, 23, 24) living in Wilton. I have been caring for children most of my life. After receiving a B. A. in Psychology, I worked in a very unique group home for special needs children in Long Island. Disabilities included cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, microcephaly, fragile x syndrome, autism, blindness, seizure disorders, and behavioral issues with most children having multiple issues. My direct care experience working with mentally and physically disabled children provided me extensive knowledge of the cognitive, physical and psychosocial health of children. As assistant manager of the home, responsibilities included all aspects of staffing and budgeting. Later, as the manager, I interacted with the parents, therapists, school, doctors, and staff to meet the needs of the home and the children living there, while adhering to state guidelines. I then received my B.S. in Nursing at URI. More recently, I helped for 2 years with afterschool care, including meals and driving, of a sweet teenage girl in my home. I also helped a wonderful family with 2 girls ages 2 and 3 months old. The younger child has Down Syndrome and needed some assistance with physical therapy and separation anxiety. I am a happy, positive person who loves children and animals. I thoroughly enjoy caring for children of any age and ability. I am extremely reliable, flexible to the needs of the family, hardworking, trustworthy, and easy to get along with. I can be comfortable in a situation where I am a follower or a leader. Some of my strengths are patience, thoughtfulness, and kindness. I have lots of hands-on experience but I am also willing to learn new things. I have just updated my CPR and first aid training. I have a new safe car and don’t mind doing your errands and tidying. I am currently interested in a part-time position with some flexibility as I still have to drive my own daughter a bit in the afternoon. Thank you, Nina
