I am new to Midland. I moved here to NC, 2018, to Midland in 2021. I moved from Clarksville, TN. I watched numerous children in 10 years I was there. Most children that I sat for were Military children. I lived right down the road from Ft.Campbell, KY. The children became members of my family as well as I became members of theirs. We went on outings, to the park for little picnics, amusement park, Chuckie Cheese, shopping, and even out for ice cream or down to Sonic for happy hour. I never took them anywhere that I did not get approval from their parents. I have played cars, robots, dolls, coloring, any arts and crafts, we watched movies, read. All my kids were special, and still are. I miss them and still stay in touch with them all. I have plenty of references, so please contact me if I can help you in anyway.

Hi families!! My name is Na’Xya Dunn, I am 22 years old and I’ve been working with kids since I was 15. I started volunteering at my church in the kids classroom, but then I started working at my first childcare center and loved it so much. I want to become a pediatric nurse and have had such a love for kids ever since I can remember. I also have two younger brothers I often care for along with my younger cousins. I am very active, friendly, with a bubbly personality kids tend to love. I currently have CPR/AED certification for infants/children as well as adults, SIDS certification, as well as a couple of other certification due to my experience as a lead teacher in a daycare and after school center. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my bio and considering me I hope to meet some of you soon !!

Naxya was a great sitter for my daughter the 2 times that she sat. She was respectful, engaged, and communicative. However, after my urgent and immediate need was fulfilled, I’ve not been able to reach her by personal phone or Sittercity’s messaging tool. I paid her an agreed rate, on time, and both times added a tip. Have no idea what has happened but after investing in a detailed background check and spending hundreds already in care, I would’ve appreciated some communication, as we’d already briefly discussed an ongoing retainer agreement. No one wants different random people watching their child and I’d hoped to have a long-standing caretaker. Back to the drawing board.

Burgess watched my daughter while we were living in Beaufort (Pre-pandemic) and she was outstanding! Very reliable, even last minute. My daughter loved her and she was very respectful. She even helped last second for a pet-sitting issue we had while we were out of town. Highly recommended!

Hello families! My name is Jessica, and I bring a warm, experienced, and dependable approach to childcare. I hold a master’s degree in teaching and have worked with children of all ages—from infants through teenagers—in traditional schools, nature centers, and private family care. I also homeschool my own children, which keeps me deeply engaged in child development, creativity, and the art of negotiating with tiny people. I am also a certified assistant teacher in the Cedarsong Way, a pedagogy centered on child-led, nature-immersive learning. As a parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your children. Both of my children were born prematurely, so I am especially comfortable caring for infants and attentive to their unique needs. I’m just as comfortable soothing a baby as I am teaching ABCs to preschoolers, helping older kids with homework, or talking about Shakespeare with high schoolers. My daughter also has food allergies, so I understand the importance of safety, awareness, and careful planning. In addition, I hold a current Basic Life Support certification, including CPR, First Aid, and AED training. Most of all, I bring patience, responsibility, fun, and a calm presence—plus a knack for finding missing shoes and favorite stuffed animals. I would love the opportunity to support your family and care for your children like they are my own.

I had an amazing experience with Jessica! She watched my kids and was everything you could hope for in a sitter—patient, kind, attentive, and truly caring. My kids felt comfortable with her right away, and that gave me so much peace of mind. She kept me updated, was very reliable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. You can tell she genuinely loves working with children. I’m so grateful we found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and wonderful sitter!

Asahiah was great with our family kids. She is very polite and the kids love her. She helped me with my son when I was traveling for vacation. She was always early to arrive, communicated very effectively and kept me up to date on when she picked up and dropped off. I was able to fully relax knowing my son was in great hands. Would highly recommend !

Hi! My name is Paula, and I’m an experienced childcare provider with over 3 years of hands-on experience working in labor & delivery, mother-baby, and newborn care settings. I currently work as a healthcare tech/nurse aide on a mother-baby unit, where I care for newborns and support moms during the postpartum period. I have a strong passion for caring for infants and supporting families during those early stages. I also have experience in the NICU and worked as a newborn hearing screener, so I am very comfortable with newborns, feeding, soothing, and recognizing their needs. In addition to my professional experience, I’m also a mom of three, I have a 9-year-old, 6-year-old, and an 18-month-old, which has given me real-life experience with children of different ages and routines. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your child, and I always strive to create a safe, calm, and nurturing environment. I am reliable, patient, and attentive, and I truly love helping children grow and thrive. I am currently looking for opportunities, especially with infants or young children, and I’m happy to be flexible with scheduling. I would love the opportunity to support your family!

I am a 51-year-old mother, and my husband is 66. He is a retired disabled veteran. We are proud parents of two boys and two girls, and we have one wonderful three-year-old grandchild. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in house sitting, pet sitting, and babysitting. I also previously retired from a career in pet nutrition, which gave me valuable knowledge in animal care and wellness. For the past 14 years, I have volunteered at Elevation Church, where I have enjoyed serving my community and building meaningful relationships. In addition, I currently serve as the HOA president in my neighborhood. I truly enjoy caring for others—whether that means children, pets, or homes—and I look forward to meeting your sweet son or daughter! 😊

Hi! I’m Kayla. I’m a mom to a 3-year-old and I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and getting to know their personalities. Being a parent has taught me a lot about patience, emotional development, and how important it is for kids to feel safe, understood, and supported. I try to be very aware of how kids are feeling and what they’re communicating, even when they don’t have the words yet. I believe a lot of behavior is really just kids expressing needs, big emotions, or curiosity about the world. I focus on creating a calm, fun environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. I’m happy to help with playtime, meals, bedtime routines, outdoor time, and keeping things structured but relaxed. My goal is always for kids to feel safe and for parents to feel confident that their child is being cared for thoughtfully. I’d love to help support your family!
