Summary: I moved from Spain to the United States. I studied Finance. I moved to the United States for family reasons. My son had the opportunity to study here in 2014, when he was 17 years old. He will finish his medical degree in 2023. Additionally, part of my family has lived in Matthews for 14 years. When I arrived in 2018, I began working with the Starr family, Dr. Adam and Maya Starr, in Asheville, caring for their four children, ages 8, 6, and 3, and their newborn. I worked with them temporarily for seven months. In July 2019, I began working in Weddington, North Carolina, with the Kum Kim family, caring for their 18-month-old baby. I was expecting a baby in October 2019. The family had to relocate to Atlanta for work, so I worked with them until April 2021. In May 2021, I started working in Charlotte with the Petronis family, where I began caring for their 7-month-old baby. In September 2022, their second daughter was born, and I cared for her as well. The Petronis family had some family changes, so I worked with them until August 2023. From November 2023 to February 2024, I worked with the Schwarz family in Mooreville. From March 2024 to August 22/2025, I worked as a shared nanny for the Rolhfs and Groody families, caring for their babies, who are currently 23 and 21 months old. I've lived in Mooresville since October 2019, but I moved to Statesville in August 2024. I'm patient, I love teaching, and I believe the best way to teach is through educational and hands-on games, as well as engaging children in everyday activities. I'm also a mother, so I know that the first six years of a child's life are crucial for their personal development. That's why it's essential to create a loving, safe, stable, and fun environment for them to discover their abilities, such as art, music, and science. I'm happy to help establish routines and guide them through their developmental milestones. My English isn't perfect, but I continue to study and learn every day, and I can communicate with you and the children. Thank you. Best regards. Glenda Lewis Escobar

I absolutely love being a sitter because caring for kids brings me so much joy—every day is full of laughter, learning, and little moments that make my heart smile! I’ve had the chance to work with infants, toddlers, and older children through years of babysitting, church nursery volunteering, and community service, which has given me tons of hands-on experience. I’m also CPR certified, trained in safe childcare practices, and experienced with creating fun activities that keep kids engaged and happy. I’m patient, nurturing, and always focused on making sure children feel safe, loved, and supported. Being a sitter truly fills me with purpose, and I love becoming a trusted part of a family’s village!

I have been a stay-at-home Mother for 17 years after having sold medical devices for 16 years in a highly corporate environment. I understand the push and pull of career and family. I am also a recent empty nester who would welcome time with young children and family pets. While our children were young, I loved the time after school for fun and for time with them to work one-on-one on homework and debrief after their day. I have always loved having playdates and children gathering at our home. I always volunteered at the elementary school as much as they allowed. I thoroughly enjoy seeing young children grow and learn via social interactions, sports, music, or whatever their developing hobbies happen to be at the moment. I have had a wonderful time with our family and have found that adaptability is the key to managing our home, children, in-laws' homes, and multiple dogs, some with health issues. I have been first aid/CPR certified, but I need to update here in NC.

Hi families! My name is Alex, and I’m currently looking for a nanny position (25–40 hours per week). I have extensive experience working with children of all ages—including multiples—and truly love what I do. I spent over two years as a nanny for a wonderful local family and, prior to that, worked in several daycare settings. While most of my background is with infants and toddlers, I’m comfortable and confident caring for children at every stage. I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where kids can learn, explore, and grow. Ideally, I’m seeking a family open to me bringing along my daughter, born August 2025. I’m fully confident in my ability to provide excellent care for both children and maintain a balanced, attentive routine. If you’re looking for an experienced, kind, and reliable nanny, I would love to connect. Please feel free to message me!
