Hello Families! I'm a reliable and flexible babysitter with years of experience. I have experience with children as young as 10 months and as old as 16 years of age. I have babysat 4 siblings for about 10 years, until they didn't need a babysitter any more. I enjoy play time with kids, reading kids books and also helping with homework. I like to spend time outside with children especially during nice weather. Light house duties like meal prep, cooking, laundry, bedroom pickup and cleaning are welcome. I own a vehicle. I am a non-smoker. I am usually available Mondays-Fridays after 4:30pm and anytime on weekends. I will be happy to provide references upon request.

We had a fantastic first experience with Donna and are so grateful for the wonderful care she provided for our son! She was very responsive and accommodating with our short-notice request, which I really appreciated. This was our first time using a sitter, so I was a bit nervous reaching out. I immediately felt at ease with Donna from our first interaction. She came ready with books to read and games to play. Our son had such a fun evening with her and is already asking when she can come back! We’ll absolutely be reaching out to Donna again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and engaging sitter. Thank you so much, Donna!

Hi! My name is Taylor and I have three years of teaching experience! I received my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary (k-6) and Special Education (k-12) from Doane University. I most recently obtained my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in December 2023 and Reading Specialist Endorsement in July 2025. Along with this, I was a member of the women’s basketball team during my undergrad. I have had opportunities with children in situations such as; full-time teaching, within my student teaching and practicum experiences, coaching and volunteering as a youth and middle school basketball coach, and lifeguarding/teaching swim lessons to ages 3-14 for five summers. I am currently looking for occasional date night jobs and or a part-time nanny position. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Thanks!

Hello! I am Kristy. I am a professional nanny with 24 years of professional experience caring for children ages birth though high school. I am highly skilled at creating developmentally appropriate spaces and activities for children to engage and thrive in. I’m committed to cultivating imagination and creativity through hands-on experiences with the world around us. Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Human Development with and emphasis in early childhood education and a passion for parent education. Some of the experiences I have provided include, but are not limited to, having a curriculum for each child’s individual needs, engaging all of their senses in our play, actively engaging with and exploring nature, teaching homeschool, potty training, fostering an environment that encourages and challenges them to grow in social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development, building lego empires and roller coasters, nail-biting checker matches, creative daily outings, themed summer nanny camps, educational overnight trips, camping trips, dance parties, extensive fort/tent building, theological discussions, dramatic games of hide and seek, culinary skill enhancement (I love guiding the kids in baking, cooking, and experimental kitchen time), tutoring for children at all academic levels, writing and performing music, the reading aloud and dramatization of books, and a variety of hands-on art experiences. I love spending as much time outside as possible. Other responsibilities include scheduling and transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, extracurricular activities, school, play dates, and extended stays with children when parents are away. Other responsibilities have also included light housework, meal prep, running errands, organizing, house managing, and traveling with families. I can also assist in establishing and implementing routines and chores in new ways, creating systems that teach children about helping around the house and financial literacy simultaneously. I love traveling, especially to hike new trails with friends. I take a rather holistic approach to life - crunchy/healthy if you will. I love Jesus and my joy and peace come from Him (don’t worry, I definitely don’t push my views). I love experiments and messes with kiddos, don’t worry, we will have it cleaned up before you get home!

I am a very active and fun person and I definitely reflect that when working with kids. I am in graduate school at UNMC currently. I would consider myself a responsible and trustworthy person. I also have experience working with kids through being a soccer coach, nannying, and afterschool care. I have a pretty busy schedule with school but am willing to accommodate your needs as best as possible!

Great with my kids, my eldest took to her the most and enjoyed her company. Was on time and gave me updates if anything happened or texted me back quickly if I asked for a update while I was out. My experience with her was overall good and I'd recommend her as a babysitter. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because after her last babysitting job, she said she would be available to babysit one more time and the day before she had to cancel. Which I totally understand, so we re-scheduled. On the re-scheduled day, she canceled again, due to having too much on her plate with a full time job, a competition she was in and an additional job. While this is all completely understandable, this was during my husband's deployment and I depended on her to get groceries every week or so. I tried texting her telling her it was ok and asked further about her schedule to see if she could spare 2 hours for me to get food but I never got a response and haven't heard from her since. If she had told me sooner about not being available (2 weeks prior before her last message), I could have found someone else and gotten things done when I needed them done. I would have loved if we stayed in contact and kept up babysitting whenever she was able but lack of management of the many things she had going on in her life and the foresight of when she might be overwhelmed with all those things, ultimately ended our correspondence sooner than I would have liked.

I like working with kids because I get to see them learn new things and grow into their own person. Kids are fun to work with and bring new surprises everyday! In my spare time, I like to spend time with my friends. We like staying in and watching movies. Our newest thing has been making charcuterie boards while making crafts. One thing you should know about me is I am mainly looking for a summer job. I'm open to working more into the full year, but I will also be a full time college student starting in the fall. My skills include communication, understanding, and affirmation. I like teaching kids to communicate how they are feeling and how to try and express it appropriately. They are young and don't understand what to do. I like to give positive encouragement and help them understand why they might be feeling a certain way.
