Hi there! My name is Sara! I am 23 years old and I am working towards becoming a parent educator. I love working with children and learning more about how they develop. I love learning about gentle parenting and Montessori teaching methods. I’d love to help you or your family in caring for your little one(s). I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, and 25 years of experience caring for children from infants to teenagers, including babysitting, being a nanny/household manager, teaching preschool, teaching gymnastics, and coaching cheerleading. I also have my own small business (Braids and Butterflies Spa Parties), hosting spa parties for girls ages 4 to 12. I have been working with children my entire adult life, and couldn't see myself doing anything else. Finding the "right fit" is very important to me, as I believe that communication is key and things go much more smoothly when everyone is on the same page. Being a nanny is more than a job to me; I form lasting relationships with the families that I care for, and I take pride in becoming an extension of family to the children in my care. I'm a trustworthy, organized, capable self-starter, and I enjoy being out and about with children, doing fun activities or even everyday errands. I'm also a proud mom to a wonderful almost 5 yr old girl, who would be joining me. Kelsey is sweet, easy-going, and is used to working with me. She is very helpful and loves making friends! I like to keep busy and I'm open to doing other household tasks such as laundry, organizing, grocery shopping/errands. I drive a minivan and have a safe driving record, and excellent references! Ideally I am looking for 10-20 hours per week, but can be flexible and I am open to working with more than one family. Also interested in occasional babysitting. I absolutely love working with kids! I currently work as an assistant preschool teacher, and I have been actively involved in volunteering for kids for 4 years now. I have helped out with anything from babysitting to running play groups! Getting to work with kids is truly such a blessing and I am so grateful for the many opportunities that I have been given to work with them!
