I’ve worked with children for over a decade and have always found joy in caregiving and education. I’m a certified K–8 educator and currently nanny for a wonderful family in Massachusetts. My experience includes working with children as young as 3 months old, caring for up to six children at once, and supporting families with everything from school routines to household management. Throughout college, I nannied for the same family for five years, caring for two girls. After graduation, I moved to New York City for a live-in nanny role where I managed daily schedules, school and doctor appointments, travel, cooking, organization, pet care, and more. I've also worked at a summer camp as both a nanny and later as the director’s assistant, and I’ve taught dance to kids aged 3–15. I have a strong background in engaging children without screens—encouraging creativity through play, crafts, reading, sports, and outdoor activities. I hold two bachelor’s degrees, including one in Nutrition and Wellness, which helps me prioritize healthy habits. I’m CPR and First Aid certified as well. Hi! I have grown up at a summer camp. I started as a camper and I was staff for 2 years with 8 middle school age girls. I have also baby sat for toddlers. I live on a ranch and love animals. I love doing activities with the kids, being outdoors and playing. I really try to stay away from technology. I love kids!! Hey there 👋🏻 My name is Kara and I’d like to tell you a bit about myself. I have always enjoyed children my whole life. Ever since I was little I always wanted to be around the kids. Just seeing how happy and free they are made me happy. I have two younger siblings as well so I was always helping my single mom out with them. Once I got into high school I knew that working with children is what I really wanted to do in life. I moved to Massachusetts with my dad the summer before my senior year of high school, and found the perfect job for myself. I started working as an assistant teacher at the daycare right across the street! They were great about working with my school schedule and excepting me knowing I had no profession experience. I worked as an assistant toddler teacher. We had 19 two year olds between myself and three other teachers. I loved every day I worked here at Kindercare. I was very saddened when I moved back to New Hampshire a year and a half later and has to resign. I worked for a few family’s over the first couple of years I was back. I also care for my two nephews and niece on a regular basis. For the past 5 years I decided to switch my career over to in home health care, since I have always loved helping and caring for people and found myself a great opportunity.
