Salutations Everyone! My name is Christine Bree Wirthlin, but please call me Bree (like the cheese—just spelled differently!). I’m originally from North Carolina and moved to chase some big dreams and continue my education. I’m currently a graduate student at Antioch University, working toward my Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with double minors in Human Development & Family Science and Sociology—which basically means I really love learning how kids grow, think, feel, and play! I have lots of hands-on experience with kiddos, from tiny infants to energetic 13-year-olds. I spent about five years working with the Autism Society of North Carolina and I also worked for a Behavioral Health company as a Behavioral Technician , supporting children with diverse needs through structure, creativity, patience, and lots of encouragement. I currently work in Childwatch at the YMCA, where I help create a safe, fun space so parents can enjoy a workout or a little well-deserved self-care. I’m also the oldest of four girls, so babysitting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From bedtime routines and snack time to imaginative play and calming big emotions, I’m comfortable jumping into all parts of a child’s world. I’m looking for babysitting opportunities while I continue my graduate studies. I truly love working with children and watching their imaginations run wild—whether that means dance parties, art time, storytelling, or cozy wind-down moments before bed. I have been in childcare for a few years now, but I love babysitting on the side! I’d ideally love to become a nanny, but haven’t been able to fully leave the childcare world yet. Hello! My name is Allison, and I’m a recent college graduate looking for part-time child care work. Through my undergraduate experience studying education and anthropology, I developed a deep appreciation for connection and communication with all people- especially kids! As a part of my degree program, I have completed significant coursework in human development, with a focus on effective learning environments and holistic education. Outside of the classroom, I have worked as a substitute teacher in both New Hampshire and Connecticut, delivering lesson plans and filling in for absent teachers/educational professionals across the school day. For the past 5 years, I have worked at a summer camp in Amherst, NH, moving into a supervisory position in 2024. In addition to running daily camp activities through the summer, my role includes managing a staff of 6 full-time counselors, providing behavioral management support/redirection, and coordinating field trips to many exciting places across the state. As an environmental-education facility, I have also assisted in teaching lessons to school groups, as well as hosting site events and workshops. Through my work, I have maintained an active CPR, AED, and FirstAid certification. In my spare time, I love being outside and interacting with the natural world and all that it has to offer. I have worked in sustainability for the past several years, focusing on implementing educational programming for PK-aged students about the environment. I love running, hiking, climbing, and a plethora of additional activities that allow me to experience the incredible natural world. I have found joy in introducing these activities and encouraging a sustained interest in being outside with kids of all ages. In addition to outdoor activity, I am a craft/art enthusiast and am always exploring new creative hobbies to pursue and integrate into my teaching. I also enjoy reading, cooking, drawing, and crocheting! My child-care philosophy centers around getting to know the family that I’m working with in a meaningful way, and catering my interests to those of the children that I’m working with. I’m experienced with toddlers and kids with mental disabilities. I have family with allergies so I am very good at limiting cross contamination and preparing specific meals. I have summer camp, teaching, tutoring and classroom experience. I’ve been Red Cross certified babysitter since 2015 and have first aid training. I am CPR and lifeguard certified.
