I am a mother of three successful adult children. I’ve spent my life caring for children of all ages. Most recently, I resigned from my position as a high school English teacher after 18 years of service in the same district where I worked starting as a para educator in the elementary school. I hold a Masters degree in education where child development and psychosocial courses were required. My only calling has been to care for children. My goal is always to foster a love for learning, creating, and exploring in a safe space and place where children can feel empowered and motivated to challenge themselves. I always seek to teach children, kindness, and open mindedness so that they may gracefully and bravely interact with the with the world around them. I would describe myself as warm and nurturing, as my high school students always told me I gave major, “ mom vibes.” My experience caring for young children includes nannying for three young boys as a college student, working for the VNA’s after school program and summer camp program, also as a college student, childcare work at a gym, and raising my own children.My references primarily come from colleagues and principals I’ve worked with. My experience as a nanny extends into looking after children of all ages. I am both infant and pediatric CPR certified. I've worked in a variety of childcare settings including the NICU, pediatrics, early education and sports programs. I have nannied for 4 other families, 2 of them consisted of multiple children. I also was a respite caregiver for DCF and cared for foster children, where I also dealt with challenging cases that involved behavioral problems. I am a certified nurse assistant, EMT & nutritionist to which I have very much enjoyed my work in those fields. Hello my name is Georgette Simard. I am currently a student at a New Hampshire university. I did babysitting in my teenage years as a part time job and would like to do it again to help pay for school. I am very playful and imaginative. I encourage playtime and outdoor activities as well as implementing learning and education. When I am not doing schoolwork I am outside playing with my dogs or taking them on a hike. I have taken courses that focus on childhood psychology and I am working on getting CPR certified.
