I’m currently a graduate student at Antioch University, working toward my Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with double minors in Human Development & Family Science and Sociology—which basically means I really love learning how kids grow, think, feel, and play! I have lots of hands-on experience with kiddos, from tiny infants to energetic 13-year-olds. I spent about five years working with the Autism Society of North Carolina and I also worked for a Behavioral Health company as a Behavioral Technician , supporting children with diverse needs through structure, creativity, patience, and lots of encouragement. I currently work in Childwatch at the YMCA, where I help create a safe, fun space so parents can enjoy a workout or a little well-deserved self-care. I’m also the oldest of four girls, so babysitting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From bedtime routines and snack time to imaginative play and calming big emotions, I’m comfortable jumping into all parts of a child’s world. I’m looking for babysitting opportunities while I continue my graduate studies. My husband is a Senior Director of Sales for a petroleum company and has an office here but travels. All the time. My biggest baby is my 7 month old baby Great Dane. We have a 2 year old bulldog and tiny tiny 10 pound mix. I watch my three year old baby cousin during the school year but soon it will be her turn for preschool.
