Salutations Everyone! My name is Christine Bree Wirthlin, but please call me Bree (like the cheese—just spelled differently!). I’m originally from North Carolina and moved to chase some big dreams and continue my education. I’m currently a graduate student at Antioch University, working toward my Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy with a concentration in Couples and Family Therapy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with double minors in Human Development & Family Science and Sociology—which basically means I really love learning how kids grow, think, feel, and play! I have lots of hands-on experience with kiddos, from tiny infants to energetic 13-year-olds. I spent about five years working with the Autism Society of North Carolina and I also worked for a Behavioral Health company as a Behavioral Technician , supporting children with diverse needs through structure, creativity, patience, and lots of encouragement. I currently work in Childwatch at the YMCA, where I help create a safe, fun space so parents can enjoy a workout or a little well-deserved self-care. I’m also the oldest of four girls, so babysitting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From bedtime routines and snack time to imaginative play and calming big emotions, I’m comfortable jumping into all parts of a child’s world. I’m looking for babysitting opportunities while I continue my graduate studies. I truly love working with children and watching their imaginations run wild—whether that means dance parties, art time, storytelling, or cozy wind-down moments before bed. I am the mother of 2 beautiful daughters who are grown now. My actual background is in Medical billing and coding but have been a Mom for 23 wonderful years. I got sick a while back and am on disability but feel like I want to be out in the workforce again. I am reliable, dependent friendly good with children and elderly. Greetings! I am a professional older sister. I am qualified to change diapers, wipe tears and read bedtime stories. I enjoy things that warm my heart such as laughter, nature, and imagination. The only thing I love more than that is a child's perspective. I am Red Cross certified and have an up to date CORI. I hold a bachelors in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Some of my experience with children includes: working three summers as one of three counselors to teach and provide preschoolers with a safe environment while having fun at summer camp, a game coordinator for the local vacation bible school for ages K-6, volunteering in church nursery's, foreign orphanages, and kindergarten speech lessons. I have assisted in preschool classrooms, and in the care for three foster babies in the past. I worked as a substitute teacher last year, and as a para professional/ 1 on 1 with children diagnosed with autism the year prior to that. I have 5 years of nannying experience.
