Hello! I recently moved out of New York City leaving my job in childcare (ages prek-8th) of 3 years. Now I am back in school, training to become a Pilates teacher and generally have a flexible schedule. I loved working with the kids, and the emotional reward of impacting their small lives. Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy working with kids and being a positive part of their day. It’s really rewarding to build connections with kids and help them learn, grow, and gain confidence. What experience do you have? I have a strong background working with children in a variety of settings. I’ve worked in a preschool with children ages 3–5, have experience babysitting, and taught first grade in Paterson, New Jersey. I’m currently working as a paraprofessional supporting children with special needs, which has given me even more hands-on experience with different learning styles, behaviors, and individualized support. What skills and training do you have? My education is in psychology, and I’m currently in school to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. This has given me a strong understanding of child development, behavior, and emotional support. I’m patient, reliable, and able to adapt to each child’s unique needs. I’m also experienced in creating structure, managing routines, and helping children feel safe, understood, and cared for.

As a mother of four children and certified elementary school teacher, I have tons of experience! Rest assured, I have had criminal background checks because I am a teacher and have been vetted through the state of New Jersey. I've completed multiple trainings as well. Currently, I'm primarily looking for occasional, or one-time babysitting gigs! I am a reading interventionist working part-time, which is why I am seeking out occasional opportunities to care for children and pets. I am also a children's yoga instructor. I bring multiple decades of childcare experience from Babysitting & being a Nanny for a number of families. My experience also includes coaching Gymnastics, Yoga and Fitness classes. At my last position, I was a Preschool Gymnastics Director, which I absolutely LOVED! Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, my position was eliminated in 2025. I loved that job so much because I was able to develop such close relationships not just with the kids, but with the extended families of parents and grandparents in a fun, active & safe environment! I love going to parks, playing games and swimming. I also have a variety of active movement songs for all ages with props such as parachute & tumbling mats. I own a 2024 Nissan Murano & have a clean driving record with lots of safety features if any driving would be required. I am comfortable with meal preps, nap and/or bedtime stories, baths, etc. I have a college degree in Communications and am First Aid, CPR & Safe Sport certified. Greetings, my name is Bryane Banks. During high school I joined a career technical school which I studied childcare. During my studying I was offered to work at their facility which ranged with different ages of the children. I learned how to meal prep for the children, dealing with nap times, potty training and kids with special needs. A few children families asked me to become their babysitters outside of work hours included on weekends which I was more than happy to help with.

I started babysitting way back when I was just 12yrs old. I have a grown son and a teen daughter. While I do not currently work, I have over 16yrs experience as an LPN, primarily as a pediatric and family practice nurse. I live in Belvidere, with my husband and teen daughter. I look forward to becoming a grandmother in August 2026, but my son lives almost 9hrs away.
