I like to use developmentally appropriate play, create motor skill and sensory activities, art projects, read books, and music. I encourage the use of imagination through child-led play. I know communication signs to aid with language development (eg. eat, more, all done, milk, mom, dad). I love pets and am able to assist with meals, light housekeeping, diapers/toileting, adhering to feeding/sleeping schedules to avoid disruption in routine, bathing, naps/bedtime, and clear communication with the family. I can say most of my experience comes from having my own children who are 30, 23, and 5 years old. I love children and I will do anything for them. I am in the process of volunteering for the NICU at the hospital. I've also babysat for a company I used to work for. I previously worked as a long-term substitute teacher at Oakcrest as well.
