I have my CDA Equivalent as well as 12 ECE units. I’m background checked, have a current TB negative test result, and well as I have been CPR & First Aid certified. I have 2 children of my own. My Names Christina, I started working in child care in 2020. I mostly worked with 2-5 year olds for about 2 years and enjoyed that age group. I then started working with every age later and excelled in just about every age group. I learned patience, schedule routines, meal prepping, curriculum and lots of songs! I also worked with children with trauma and some with autism. I was an assistant director to a center and worked with children and parents as well. I have a son of my own that is currently 5 and in kindergarten. A little about my experience and why I love taking care of children, my mother has worked in daycares everyday of my life and I have spent all my childhood days not only going to her school but helping and working with her as well! I worked at her daycare in Ohio while I was in high school and for a year after high school. I also have experience babysitting my 2 younger siblings and for multiple families in my hometown!

I have 3 kiddos myself. Ages 15, 12, and 8. In high school I was a pt sitter for multiple families in my neighborhood. One of the kids was autistic and had other disabilities, but he was a good kid. His form of communication was sticking a picture of what he wanted to eat or do on a velcro board. Very smart! To be completely honest, I am a single mom and know how hard it is for parents. I grew up with younger siblings, and babysitting them during the day. I recently have been babysitting family friends and families infants and toddlers. Hello!  My name is Lisa. I am a graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno.  I was a double major in Psychology and Art with an emphasis in Photography. For over 20 years, I have cared for children from the age of 0 (newborn) to the age of about 12.  My favorite age group would have to be 2-3 years because that is when they are full of energy.  I am comfortable with all ages.  I was fully responsible for the children.  I did potty training and helped with homework.  This included reading, math, and science.  My favorite subjects to teach are basic/beginning Algebra.  I love doing arts and crafts with children.  You may even find me coloring a yellow unicorn!  I volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters from 2008 to 2011.  I did a volunteer intership with the children's pastor at my church.  When I was about 12, I volunteered in the children’s ministry at my church.  I was one of the volunteer teachers.   Other than babysitting/nannying, I can take care of various pets.  I have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, fish, African dwarf frogs, hermit crabs, turtles, and hamsters. I can care for pets at owners’ homes.   True happiness comes from children.  Children have the ability to share their happiness with the world to make it a better place.
