I have been there for 3 years located in Albany. I have worked as a nanny for over five years and have been certified as behavioral technician and cpr/first aid certified. I have experience with household chores, cooking, laundry, potty training, putting babies down for naps, bed time and bath time! I have my own car and I'm able to bring kids to after school actives or school pickup. Hello! I have been babysitting since I was 12 (I have 8 siblings!) and I just finished my bachelors degree in Social Work, doing the majority of my internships and employment working with adolescents. I just accepted a job as a caseworker and would like to be more involved in the community as I just moved here! I have always liked to work with children. In my teen years, I worked summers at a Montessori school. I learned many things about learning pace and simple objects to teach a lesson. After that, I worked in a daycare where I was an infant & toddler teacher. After that daycare closed down, I had my own child and stayed home until he was 6 months old. I then worked at our local YMCA as a pre school teacher, and then at a preschool geared toward children with disabilities. I worked with many different children; visually impaired, 1:1 for child with severe Autism, children with Down Syndrome, FAS, and learned many techniques to sooth and help these children to do the activities that the "typically" developing children were doing.  I currently have my Associates in the Arts and am enrolled at Empire State. I will have my Bachelors in Human Services in Dec 2013.  My favorite thing to do is hang out with my amazing six year old son! He has made me a football lover (Patriots!). I also like to read, watch movies, shop, and spending time with family and friends. 

I have worked for the last 8 years as a school district employee, at a public pre-K program supporting children with complex developmental challenges in an integrated classroom. I have my B.A. from S.U.N.Y. Geneseo, and I'm CPR and First-Aid certified, and have been so for the last 8 years. Over the last 25 years, in my work with children and families, I have worked as a private nanny, as the director of a child care center at a large ski resort, as a pre-K teacher in one of the oldest operating nursery schools in the US, and as a V.T. state certified case-manager. I have both current references, and references that date back 25 yrs. I have been married to my husband for 32 years and together we are raising twin boys. I look forward to continuing my work with families and children.
