I have an amazing 37-year-old daughter who has an Australian Shepherd that I’ve dog sat for 7 years. Prior to that, I dog sat her Pit Bull/Doberman Pincher for 12 years. In addition, I have an intelligent and athletic 29-year-old son. My children represent to me all that is good in the world and are my two true loves. They have taught me a lot about myself and life. I am a better person because of them and admire them so. If you were to ask my friends and family what characteristics I possess, I think that they would tell you traits like: friendly, outgoing, sociable, genuine, sincere, honest, reliable, responsible, trustworthy, caring, kind, humble, generous, compassionate, and empathetic. I also try to make a positive difference in someone's life whenever possible. I am currently a second-year doctoral student in the school psychology and counseling program at the University at Buffalo. I specialize in working with children and adolescents. Before starting graduate school, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts, where I worked with children and teenagers to help them develop emotion regulation and coping skills using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed approaches. In addition to my professional experience, I have years of informal babysitting experience caring for younger cousins and neighborhood children. My graduate training has given me a strong background in child development, behavior, and social-emotional support, and I pride myself on being patient, responsible, organized, and able to create a calm and positive environment for kids of different ages. I am back in Rochester for the summer and I am excited to continue working with children and supporting families.

I have always loved children. My husband and I have raised 5 children to maturity. My jobs as a teacher include 3rd grade, high school Spanish, Literature, and tutoring. I've coached basketball and volleyball and have taught Red Cross swimming lessons and lifeguarding. I speak Spanish fluently. Over the years, I have cared for other children in my home, at my church, and in the community, and have worked at children's summer camps as a counselor and/or cook for over 40 years.

I am currently an undergraduate student in college studying law with a focus on becoming an Attorney for the Child. I am CPR + First Aid certified and a well understand on the care provided to children. I worked last summer as a nanny of a 4 and 5 year old but have experience in a wide range of ages, even night nursing an infant. I am also open to assist in meal preparation, errand running as well as certain housekeeping jobs. I have a couple references and no trouble setting up calls if needed!

My job as an RD comes with a level of higher education suitable to help with homework and school work for all ages.
