I’m also a student-athlete, actively involved in cheerleading and flag football. In addition to my academic and athletic responsibilities, I have over three years of experience in childcare, caring for children ranging in age from 11 months to 12 years. I am CPR certified and have also worked in private home healthcare for the past year, which has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate and attentive care in both home and medical settings. I am experienced in diaper changing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and creating a fun, nurturing, and structured environment for kids. I also have two nieces and a nephew (ages 1, 8, and 12) that I’ve helped care for throughout their lives, which has helped shape my natural patience, understanding, and passion for working with children. My passion has always been working with children. I have over 15 years experience both professionally and personally. I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Studies, my teaching assistant certificate, and college credits for Human Services. I am a mother to two children who attend school full time. I currently work for a school, therefore, my flexibility is of the school district calendar. During care I enjoy keeping parents informed of how their little one’s day is going by sending text and pictures through out the day. I tell parents text is not an emergency but a phone call is. When possible we love to be outside depending on the weather. There for I ask parents to feel comfortable with transportation whether it be a walk or quick car ride to the school park. But if I am only providing as needed care I try not to make any transportation plans. As we have a playground set in our backyard.
