Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Adelphi University. I’ve been babysitting for over seven years and truly enjoy spending time with children and pets. My long-term goal is to become a pediatric dentist, and I’ve always loved creating fun, engaging environments for the kids I care for. Hello, My name is Valentina. Born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. From a tender age, I have always cared for the elderly, children and animals. I grew up on a farm with my grandmother, a strong woman who raised me to be the young lady I am today. She ended up becoming very sick to the point where we couldn't care for her anymore, but that didn't stop us at all. We hired a part time Nurse and I came home from school in the evenings to look after my grandmother in our own home. After years of struggling with being an amputee due to diabetes and morbid obesity her heart finally stopped and she died in her sleep. After her death, I moved to America to pursue nursing. I started out with a live in job with a family in long Island. I took care of a retired policeman who became immobile due to his morbid obesity and his need for a pacemaker. I also took care of special needs children and I also worked in hospice care. All of these jobs prepared me for the nursing field. I realize that nursing isn't easy, this isn't the movies, it's certainly not Grey's Anatomy. And with these experiences, I build friendships here in America. And I believe that this journey is only the beginning.
