I have always liked to work with children. In my teen years, I worked summers at a Montessori school. I learned many things about learning pace and simple objects to teach a lesson. After that, I worked in a daycare where I was an infant & toddler teacher. After that daycare closed down, I had my own child and stayed home until he was 6 months old. I then worked at our local YMCA as a pre school teacher, and then at a preschool geared toward children with disabilities. I worked with many different children; visually impaired, 1:1 for child with severe Autism, children with Down Syndrome, FAS, and learned many techniques to sooth and help these children to do the activities that the "typically" developing children were doing.  I currently have my Associates in the Arts and am enrolled at Empire State. I will have my Bachelors in Human Services in Dec 2013.  My favorite thing to do is hang out with my amazing six year old son! He has made me a football lover (Patriots!).
