Hello everyone, my name is Tessa and I am currently attending BGSU. I am a junior and am majoring to become an intervention specialist. I am 22 years old and I already have a tremendous amount of experience when it comes to babysitting and caregiving for others. My current job while I am at home is a caregiver for one of my brothers group homes in his business. I am in charge of taking care of 4 low-functioning autistic men and my oldest brother also has low-functioning autism. Just from growing up with him, I have had so many real-life experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. I have also babysat for one family for about 5 years in my hometown that had 3 children (ages when I went away to college were 9,5,2) Babysitting is something that brings me joy and it’s right up my alley when it comes to all the experience that I have. Other experiences I have had are: - volunteering in a first grade classroom - volunteering my whole senior year at an autistic center for children in the k-3 classroom (had all low-functioning nonverbal autistic boys) -assisting as a student aid in various elementary, middle, and high school classrooms (required field work for my major at bgsu) -babysitting for multiple families in the area (ages 1-12)

I am a Montessori trained teacher. I have worked with children for over 20 years. Most of my experience is teaching 3-6 year old children, but have also taught 2 years in a toddler program. I currently substitute teach at a Montessori school that serves 18 month - 8th grade age children. I have a local and federal background check and CPR certification. I have reliable transportation.
