I have 2 nieces and a nephew that I adore. Being around children gives you a fresh perspective that is needed within adult minds. I used to work at a daycare for about a year with kids ranging from month old babies to middle school children. I volunteered for the zoo and helped with the zoo camp. I also was able to teach a couple lessons to second graders. I used to tutor high school students and help them out with their homework. I also used to babysit and value outside time to play.

I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages. Ever since I was about 10 years old I’ve babysat for friends and family. When I was in high school I went to vocational school for Early Childhood Education for 2 years and worked in a state licensed preschool, working with infants all the way up to 5 year olds. I planned lessons and taught. Through and after high school I worked at a YMCA in childwatch for a couple hours while parents came to work out or take classes, working with children from infant to 10 year olds. As I got older I helped in the summer with VBS and summer camp and helped run a craft tent for the kids. The last 12 years I have worked for a few different families and even had multiple families use me as a nanny share. I just finished with a share that I’ve been with for 4 years, all the kids are in school now so their need for me has ended. I was with another family for 5 years before that and have loved the long term relationships I’ve been able to build with families.
