Hi I'm Ushio, I have raised/cared for children for over 9years. I love being around children and like to introduce them basic sciences. I have Recognition of Excellence Award in Praxis in Biological Sciences and also have experience teaching at a Japanese supplemental school (junior high schoolers). My expertise is in ecological science but can also teach Japanese, basic math, and other sciences to some extent. I'm a native Japanese speaker, so If you would like your little ones to learn Japanese, I can teach them while I babysit :) Depending on the situation/children's interests, I can introduce types of insects, periodic table, and have some story books based on ecological theories. If you don't mind a bit of mess, I can also provide a little at home experiments (using all safe materials such as salt, sugar, food coloring etc.). I focus on the interests of each child and try to provide them with a fun time to help them recognize that the learning is fun. *I don't do strict tutoring/teaching. I can also simply play with them. I will jump with them at trampoline place, will get in the water at swim class, and play tags with them at park...I play seriously :) Available Fri evening & some Sunday afternoon. I do not drive, unfortunately, but outside time is still awesome even if we're just on a walk!
