My name is Cynthia. I am married and the mother of three boys, ages 6, 5, and 12 months. For the first four years of our boy's lives, I cared for our children in our home. The first three years of a child's life are invaluable and my ability to be with them during these critical years is one I will always be grateful for. Our day consisted of lots of outdoor play, trips to local parks and reserves, art and reading. Above all it was important to me to involve my children in the simplicity of the day. Everything that we did was used to feed their whole sense of self. From going to the farmer's market, library, hikes, or even gardening at home, my children thrived when they were involved in experiencing the day with me. When school age approached, myhusband and I enrolled or boys in a local private school that we felt best suited the learning style and curriculum that we had been implementing in our home. Due to the healthy rhythms and activities that were familiar to our children, the transition was seamless. I began nannying as my children started their journey at school. I was left with the desire to start this process again. My strong belief in the importance of children being at home from birth to age three overflowed into my newfound career. I have been honored to work for two incredible families in the last four years. I have watched their children grow and developed lifelong relationships with them. Hello! My name is Morgan Vitanza, and I have a lot of experience caring for children at various stages, from newborns to toddlers to school-aged kids, as I have an 8-year-old daughter myself. I’ve worked as a nanny for two wonderful families. With one family, I cared for a 6-month-old girl and a 2-year-old boy one day a week. My day typically involved arriving around 9am, feeding breakfast, engaging the kids in play, putting the baby down for her nap, and using that time to tidy up. After the baby woke up, I would prepare lunch, take the kids outside for some fresh air, and enjoy walks and outdoor playtime. With another family, I worked every Monday and Friday, caring for three children, ages 2, 5, and 7. I would arrive at 7:15am to feed breakfast, get the oldest on the bus, and take the little girl to preschool. While the 2-year-old napped, I would meal prep, cook, and do light housework. Once the 2-year-old was awake, we’d do arts and crafts, color, paint, and go outside to play, whether it was chalk, swings, or a trip to the park. In the afternoon, I’d pick up the girl from preschool and get the older boy off the bus, where we’d work together on homework in a fun and engaging way, using flashcards and reading to make learning enjoyable. The parents would arrive home at 5:15 I would go over my day with the family and then I would head home. I’m patient and adaptable, always striving to create the best environment for children to thrive. I am currently a Middle School Writing Teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor’s in Middle Grades Education (ELA and Social Studies). I have been a Writing teacher for about 2 years. Before starting this position, I was a Substitute Teacher for about 2 1/2 years, with grades K-5. Growing up, my Grandma ran a daycare.
