I love being a sitter because I can play games, go outside and get sunshine, and come up with fun activities for children that don’t have a parent that can be there. I was a nanny for three years, worked in public schools, babysit and work with children at church. I have been cpr certified.

I have been in childcare for 6 years. I started as a nursery classroom assistant at a private school. As an adult, I have worked with many different families as a sitter and nanny. My most consistent nanny job was for a family with six kids ranging from 15 years old to under 1 year old. I assisted the family with all tutoring, meal prep, cleaning, laundry, childcare, errands, and more. I love working closely with a family to ensure I help make their lives easier and more family-focused.

I am a 53 yr old Grammy of 8. I keep 4 of them after school and some during school breaks. I also have a family I have been with for over 7yrs. I started when the boy was 4 wks old and they now have a new baby I take care of 1 day per week. My mom had a home daycare so I have been taking care of children most of my life. I enjoy getting to know the kids and giving them someone else to love them. I believe children need many different people in their lives who love them and want the best for them. The 7 yr old still tells me he needs me to “rock a bye” him. I love that they are comfortable with me. They beg me to stay longer and I try to go to their school activities. The more people children have them who love them the better off they are and they will feel they always have someone they can talk to. These children have become like extra grandkids to me. I love knowing I have something I can do to help families who need someone to care for their children. I was raised close to my extended family and never had to leave my kids with an outsider and I want those that choose me to keep their children to feel like they have someone they can depend on who loves their children like their own

Hi, my name is Jayla! I am 18 years old and a college student at TCC! I absolutely love kids! I grew up babysitting all the time, mainly my cousins, watching 2 under 2 a lot of the times and watched them for around 8 years! I love playing games, going on walks, going to the park, movie nights, dress up, really anything! Definitely open to taking the kids out to do stuff and not just sitting on a tv all day! I am a very active person and love being around kids. I am currently in school to become a pediatrician NP nurse! I’ve always had a way with kids growing up and love helping other out!
