Hello, my name is Courtney. I am currently teaching at the Goddard School, I also worked here from 2020-2022 and took a year off to work for the nonprofit, City Year, in Tulsa. While working for City Year, I gained experience working with students on both math and ELA, as well as various social emotional learning skills. During my time with Goddard, I’ve taught ages eight weeks to four years. I am also an aunt to 25 amazing nieces and nephews, so I have had lots of experience babysitting them for the past eight or so years.

I recently graduated from Harrah High School and will be beginning a pre-med track at the University of Oklahoma in the fall. I am the oldest of four and have raised my siblings since I was able to read and write. I love caring for children because it’s a rewarding job, minus the pay, you’re able to make great relationships with families. I am CPR certified for babies-adults, experienced with seizures, and asthma.

Hello! My name is Austin and I am 22 years old, originally from DFW Texas, I moved up here to Choctaw a year ago to spend time with my family and enroll with community college online. So, besides school work, I have no other obligations besides watching your little ones if you do consider me for the job! I have several references I can provide. I hope you’ll take into consideration my personal experience and capability. I take my job very seriously, especially that of another human life. I’m cpr certified and have been through a babysitter course called safesitter when I was 16. I have great experience with children of all ages, Besides watching my baby brothers on the occasional weekend datenight, I was an art instructor and bunk counselor for a children’s summer camp for kids in various age groups, 7-9, 10-13, and 14-16yrs. I also used to work at my church’s daycare for little ones - infants, 1-2 year olds, and even kids about to go into kindergarten. I have been a private nanny before, where I had the responsibility of two kids ages 8 months and 2 years old, and a family dog. Per the parents request, they had me participate in something called “Montessori learning.” I also had the opportunity to nanny another household with three children, ages ranging from 8yrs-13yrs old. My responsibilities with them involved getting them up in the morning & ready for school, as well as spending weekends with them where we would engage in play. I’m incredibly attentive and want your babies in as good of health as y’all do. I have a way of transportation with my own vehicle to get to work every day and incase of emergencies. I also don’t mind cleaning around the house if that is something the family would be interested in. Depending on the age and with the parents permission, I love to engage with the children through music and crafts. Wether it be using some watercolor on construction paper or playing with chalk outside, or bringing my ukulele and tiny piano keyboard and singing a few songs. I like to practice effective communication, and I strongly encourage myself & the children I spend my time with to approach every situation with kindness & empathy. With some mindfulness, I believe there is always an opportunity to learn something new. I want every day that I am with your children to be a positive and fun experience.
