I have been a stay at home mom for 20 years. My oldest two children have autism type 1, and my youngest is in 5th grade this year. As my kids aged out of young childhood, I have found I miss having little ones to care for. I love kids of all ages! I am competent, calm under pressure, and I genuinely love and care for all children. At my church I am the go to helper/carer for any kids, from a room full of kids ages 3-12, to one on one with an infant. I especially love holding babies during our main services, so young parents can focus on the sermon or older toddlers. I have taken and completed first aid courses, and cpr courses. Plus my many years of real time experience with my own children.

That experience opened my eyes so much. Every day, the kids were always the light of my day, and they made me realize that I was appreciated and loved as their teacher, and I loved them just as much. My duties included providing them with a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, reading time, and outdoor play. My role was to teach them how to care for themselves and others, have fun, and be their best selves. I am CPR-certified and first aid-certified. I am trained to keep children out of danger, protect them from harm, and encourage them to learn how to be more careful.

I have been an unpaid babysitter my entire life. I have also been a nanny and a daycare teacher. My family lost a child in 2011 due to a nanny's negligence and it was actually what made me want to be in childcare. So I could make sure another family didn't have to experience the same loss mine did. That is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I was a CNA for about 2 years so I have had CPR and first aid training. I am planning on getting those 2 things renewed. I do work with animal friendly families as I have a dog of my own, a beautiful Husky mix.
