I studied fine arts in Philadelphia, then went on to get my master's degree in creative arts therapy. I worked as either a recreation therapist or art therapist for 8 years. Once we started our family, I quickly realized that I wanted to be a stay-at-home mother for our 4 children. As my children were getting older, I began to babysit. I have worked with newborns through elementary school-aged children in New Jersey. My family recently moved to Oklahoma as our youngest child started college this fall. My husband retired from law enforcement this year, so we decided to begin our next chapter in life out west. We loved Oklahoma and the people there when our oldest son attended the University of Oklahoma. I have been responsible for feedings, diaper changing, putting children down for naps, toilet training, driving children to and from school and activities, playtime and sick care. I also have helped out with light housework, laundry and light meal prep. I loved being a stay-at-home mother for my 4 children and want to pass that along to another family. My focus is creating a safe, caring and fun environment where children can play, grow and learn. I love spending time with my family, going for walks, hiking, drawing, word searches and creating moss art.

I have over 7 plus years baby sitting experience along with professional experience both within school districts and church settings. I am CPR and First aid certified, I have CNA experience along with emergency first aid, basic life support, med management, wound care, and respite care experience. I have taken child development classes as well. When babysitting I often involve developmental activities with the little ones to help aid in milestone development. As for the older children I like to focus on life skills and social development. With teenagers I tend to let them take the lead and provide a "Supportive Big Sister" type role, while still doing my duties as a sitter and providing safety and structure to the day and/or evening.
