I love to take kids on walks nature hikes or even skiing, we get creative with art projects, I teach them yoga or perform for them with song & dance. I also know how good it feels to come home to a tidy house, so I always try to clean for parents & I genuinely enjoy doing dishes, folding laundry or anything else that really helps you out. I have been babysitting on and off throughout my entire life. I watched, played with and drove my own sister in my teens (we're 7 years apart) and now as an adult have watched her children (my nephews) from infanthood to preteen years. I also babysat for friends and acquaintances in my late teens and early 20s. I love playing make believe games with kids and reading stories together. (I'm a budding children's author.) I went to Medical Assisting school in 2011 and learned a little about early childhood development and psychology. As a phlebotomist for 10 years, I was proficient in: allaying fears, making people feel seen and heard, being punctual and reliable, communicating to the patient's care team when any concerns came up, being empathetic in care, first aid and CPR, advocating for my patients, and teaching mindful breathing exercises to anxious people of all ages. I believe all of these things can apply to caring for infants and children, especially in assisting your children in feeling seen, valued, and understood. I try to establish reasonable and age-appropriate boundaries with kindness and respect. I would love to help you run a successful and happy household by supporting you in child care.

I'm a caring, reliable, experienced nanny. I've had about 7 years of nanny experience. I love working with kids of all ages and with multiple children! Some things that I enjoy include arts and crafts, going on walks, having picnics in the park, and baking. I am vegan, but comfortable preparing food that is not. I do not have professional childcare experience, but am eager to gain it. I am First Aid/CPR certified, in the Central Background Registry, have my Food Handler’s card, and have taken Foundations for Learning, Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety, Recognising and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, and Safe Sleep for Oregon’s Infants.
