I have been in this field of work as a child care provider for 20 years. I am currently working as a teacher assistant. I also have experience in babysitting, as I am currently babysitting for parents. As for my training, I did go to college to get my certificate to work in a classroom. I also have a current CPR and FIRST AID card.

I enjoy time with kids so much, specially with little ones. I speak Spanish, English and basic French. Also, I am an outdoor person and I really love arts, specially singing! I used to be an AuPair in Beaverton for 1 year and 7 months. I watched three kids: a 10 months-old, a 3.5 years-old and a 5.5 years-old. I was in charge of waking them up, preparing meals, make sure they brush their teeth, preparing baby’s bottle, changing diapers, dropping off and picking up the older ones to school, takings them to the park to play, setting playdates with friends, to the library, potty training, teaching the little one to speak (I used to speak to him Spanish and he understood very well!) and to walk. It was an amazing experience! I left and dedicated myself to my career (I got a bachelors degree in Mass communication) around the world: Mexico, Venezuela and Spain. I just came back to the US and my previous host family received me to stay while I set everything up here. The younger kid is now 7 years-old! Before coming to Beaverton I spent a month in Chicago, since my sister lives there and I took care of 2 siblings: a 3 years old girl and a 8 years old boy. I can give you references and my resume. I’m currently taking care of two 11 months-old in a full-time nanny-share situation. I’m available on weekends and evenings for date nights!

As a babysitter, I love to nurture & teach children how to live a fun life filled with gratitude & kindness. I got to be a nanny for two adorable girls, Every time I see them , they say I’m the best baby sister they ever had . I just really enjoy infants, babies, toddlers , preschoolers , Elementary schoolers, time with them I drop everything giving them loving , attentive care, making it a memorable experience for them. Safety is always first but second is to have fun together.. Additionally I am a chef , a skill that always comes in handy .,I offer an adventure called little chef , for a chance for your child to be a chef with me.. I am also a Massage therapist, throughout the years parents have had me help their child which therapeutic massage, I also have been paid for cleaning and organizing on occasions.

I have babysat for many friends and families over the past 7 years, before and after school, on weekends and consistently throughout the summer. Darla’s Bio I am originally from Laguna Beach, California! I have 3 brothers and have always been surrounded by kids! I attended college in Eugene, OR to pursue an Early Childhood Development degree. After a year of college, I traveled to Sri Lanka to live locally and volunteer daily at a Special Needs Orphanage. I then followed an opportunity to Spain to be an Au Pair for a family with a daughter with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. I had a full time nanny position in Encinitas, CA, from August 2018- August 2019(Ages 4 and 9). I have worked in 3 different Montessori schools since moving to Portland.
