I have been in this field of work as a child care provider for 20 years. I am currently working as a teacher assistant. I also have experience in babysitting, as I am currently babysitting for parents. As for my training, I did go to college to get my certificate to work in a classroom. I also have a current CPR and FIRST AID card.

As a babysitter, I love to nurture & teach children how to live a fun life filled with gratitude & kindness. As a responsible & entrepreneurial young woman I began babysitting at the age of 11 & I was a gymnastics coach & camp counselor for 4 years during & after high school. In college at the U of MN I received my bachelor’s degree in Family Social Science & since then I have cared for many wonderful children from 2 weeks old to teenagers. As a hired care-giver, I understand the importance of keeping the children comfortable & safe, happy, well-fed, entertained & hopefully in bed on time. I love to take kids on walks nature hikes or even skiing, we get creative with art projects, I teach them yoga or perform for them with song & dance. I also know how good it feels to come home to a tidy house, so I always try to clean for parents & I genuinely enjoy doing dishes, folding laundry or anything else that really helps you out. I am CPR, First Aid and Yoga Certified

I enjoy time with kids so much, specially with little ones. I speak Spanish, English and basic French. Also, I am an outdoor person and I really love arts, specially singing! I used to be an AuPair in Beaverton for 1 year and 7 months. I watched three kids: a 10 months-old, a 3.5 years-old and a 5.5 years-old. I was in charge of waking them up, preparing meals, make sure they brush their teeth, preparing baby’s bottle, changing diapers, dropping off and picking up the older ones to school, takings them to the park to play, setting playdates with friends, to the library, potty training, teaching the little one to speak (I used to speak to him Spanish and he understood very well!) and to walk. It was an amazing experience! I left and dedicated myself to my career (I got a bachelors degree in Mass communication) around the world: Mexico, Venezuela and Spain. I just came back to the US and my previous host family received me to stay while I set everything up here. The younger kid is now 7 years-old! Before coming to Beaverton I spent a month in Chicago, since my sister lives there and I took care of 2 siblings: a 3 years old girl and a 8 years old boy. I can give you references and my resume. Hi there, my name is Lhamo, and I am a nanny with over 25 years of experience caring for children, especially infants and toddlers, with many references available. I have babysat for many friends and families over the past 7 years, before and after school, on weekends and consistently throughout the summer.
