I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in English and a Dance Certificate from the University of Montana in Missoula. I have been babysitting since I was a teenager, so I have years of experience with multiple ages. For the past 3 years I have been babysitting for the same family of 2 girls. My responsibilities include picking them up from school, making dinner and snacks, and getting them ready for bed. However, because I am moving to Eugene I am looking for a new family to babysit. I have also been a volunteer for the past 2 years through Big Brother Big Sister, and have made a strong relationship with my little who is a 3rd grader. Hi there!! Working with kids is my passion! Right now I am currently going to school to hopefully become a child psychologist. I have worked with 100’s of children and I still can’t pick a favorite age. I love the silliness of exploring a new world with a preschooler, but I also love the bonds you build once they get older! I come from a classroom setting so I’m used to caring for multiple kiddos at once, but I’m really looking forward for the chance to connect more one on one! I got my start in child care four years ago, working at the City of Eugene summer camps, going into my senior year of high school. I worked four summers (2022-2025) in the middle school outdoor exploration camp and filled in for the elementary camps when needed. I spent a few school years (2022-2024) working their elementary afterschool care program as well! I did lots of planning activities for all of these programs, and the final summer of the middle school camp I was the lead for; meaning I planned most of that camp. In 2023 I graduated high school and moved out. I continued working part time in the afterschool program, at the same time learning what it’s like to be an adult. At the end of 2024 I started a full time job at the Head Start of Lane County as a preschool teacher. I worked there till the end of the 25/26 school year. I was a teacher who carried a “caseload”, so I was assigned a few families in my classroom to help specifically assist with things like housing needs, getting extra food, transportation, ect. I love working with kids and families, and the only reason I left this job is because I know for sure now that I want to go to school to work with children. A full time job is not feasible while going to school, but I don’t want to stop working with kids! A family that can work around a college schedule would be perfect. I have a 16hr part time job right now, but my hours are very flexible. If it felt right I would consider not working that job to spend more time babysitting. Through these jobs I have obtained my CPR certification, first aide certification, food handlers card, and am approved by the CBR or central background registry; which you need this to work in any licensed child care facility in Oregon. I’m Isabella, and I’m a junior at the University of Oregon and am currently pursuing a double major in Spanish and global studies as well as a minor in political science. In high school I volunteered weekly with special needs schools in my Los Angeles hometown, including Willenburg Special Education Center, Center for Learning Unlimited, and Park Western Place Elementary. I also began tutoring math in my senior year, working with middle and high school students on geometry and algebra. During school breaks I help coach kids’ baseball and soccer, I volunteer teaching art to elementary schools, and I help around at my younger siblings schools, teaching the students to read and assisting the teachers to organize their classrooms. This past spring I was in Spain for three months babysitting and teaching English to the three girls in my host family every day.
