I have had many opportunities to work with and teach children throughout my life. I am currently working in elementary special education, starting my 10th year this year! Along with my experience working in education, I have worked as a tutor, full-time nanny, part-time nanny, before and after school babysitter, and as an au pair in Spain! (I’m not fluent, but I do speak some Spanish!) I have participated in many trainings through my school district for special needs care (including occupational and physical therapy trainings, autism-specific care, and alternative & augmentative communication) as well as social/emotional learning, equity, and culturally responsive teaching. I have also completed training and have certificates in the following: Celebrating Milestones and Sharing Concerns (CDC); Safe Sleep Ambassador, Child Welfare, Home Visitors (Cribs for Kids); Water Safety for Parents and Caregivers (Red Cross); Carseat Basics, Children in Hot Cars (National Safety Council) My top priority is to foster a positive, creative, and open environment where kids feel heard, cared for, and ready to have fun! I'm a recent high school graduate really hoping to get a job in the medical field with babies, and I've ALWAYS loved babies, plus I'm the oldest sibling in my family, so ever since I could I've been tasked with caring for them. I can clean, cook, and play with them, plus other household chores. I know first aid, and have been certified in CPR.
