I just want to keep this bio short and simple for everyone who will be reading this! I love being around kids and helping them brighten up their days! What sets me apart from anybody else is that I like listening to the kids and taking in any constructive ideas that may be brought to the table to help them feel more comfortable with me.

My name is Sandy, and I live in Pottstown. I am married, have 2 grown boys, a 9 yr old granddaughter, and a 3 year old grandson. I am the youngest of 11 children, so I come from a big family. I drive a 2013 Hyundai and do not have any allergies, or fears, of pets. I worked at the Goddard School, in Sanatoga, for 18 months as an Assistant Teacher. My room had 2-3 year olds. I especially enjoyed reading and playing with the children. I believe each child is unique and special in their own way. After leaving the Goddard School, I chose to care for children in their own homes, for many different families. I was told by many parents, when first meeting their child, that they didn't always take to a person, as quickly as they did to me. In 2014, I was on call, from 6 pm to 2 am, 3-4 days a week, for a year. Her mother, was an aide, to a midwife. She was 3 months old when I started. Whether it was in the middle of the night, (many times) or early in the evening, I enjoyed every minute with her. It is very rewarding for me to help a family and enjoy my time with their children in return. I am honest and trustworthy and will keep your children safe and happy, until you return. I am a mother of three daughters and a grandmother of 4 grandchildren. My youngest daughter was diagnosed with PDD ( Pervasive Developmental Disorder ) when she was 4. I have been her strongest supportive parent for 30 years. I currently work overnights in Royersford PA. I have worked in the Owen J. Roberts School District through the YMCA's before-and-after school care program. Prior to that, I worked at a daycare with children ages 6 months to 4 years old. I am currently looking to watch children in my home. I have a large playroom with lots of educational toys, a spare bedroom with a crib and a twin bed if the children require a nap and a large yard with lots of outdoor activities for children. I help children learn through fun and games :) I have all the required certificates and necessary clearances to work with children. I have had a variety of jobs over many years, but I found that working with, and taking care of children, is the most rewarding :)

Hi! My name is Katie, and I am a single mom to 2 kids (now young adults 😩)! I have so much love to give, and hope I can give some to your kids too! I was working at an in-home daycare from 2017-2020, but we were closed down due to Covid-19, and my boss then made the decision to not re-open. I LOVED my job mostly bc I loved the kids! I used to own my own daycare back in early 2005- late 2006 but moved to PA from NH and had to close it down. After the daycare closed (in 2020), I spent the next 3 years nannying for 2 different families from the daycare- part time each- for kids the ages of 4 months, 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 (when I started). Most recently have 2 families with 2 kids each- ages 2, 3, 3, and 5- (started when they were 1 week old, 1, 1 and 3). To give you an idea how I run things- a typical day will look like this: I like to keep the kids on a routine- morning free play, snack, walk (if the neighborhood allows for this with sidewalks etc), craft or coloring sheet/worksheet, lunch, dance “party” usually follows lunch, could be a video with a dance they love like freeze dance or shake your sillies out or we’ll play a board game or do flash cards or puzzles, playtime, storytime, nap time for littles (if there are any), harder craft/games for older kids who don’t nap if they want one, quiet activities if not, I also utilize this time to clean up morning mess and the kitchen from lunch etc. Then it's end of nap time (2 hours), snack, outside play (chalk, bubbles, hopscotch, water games when it's hot etc). I bring all the stuff for crafts, games, and outside play. I also utilize a “prize bucket” if the kids have trouble with listening or getting into routine with the rest of the kids (if there are any). I firmly believe in positive reinforcement over punishment so every time they show good listening skills or do something helpful, they get to pick a prize out of the bucket. For older kids (ages 4+), it works a little differently but still get prizes. I also really enjoy taking the kids to activities/events away from home. We regularly visit local parks, libraries, indoor play places. I will be available Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends starting in June and then also M,W,F starting mid-August. I can start/end whatever hours you need. 😊

I have 23 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field. I hold an Associates Degree in Elementary Education and acquire 24 hours of professional development training per year. I started my teaching career at the Pottstown YMCA in 2000. I have been in numerous teaching roles from aide, assistant and lead teacher.
